I purchased 12 of these light bulbs 6 months ago (October 2023). As of today I have 2 that won’t turn on no matter what I try. 3 will no longer sync to the app, and act like standard bulbs. 2 won’t turn on with the app, but when I cycle the power (on/off) they turn on and begin to sync with the app after about 5 minutes. 3 of the aforementioned bulbs that turn on, they begin to flash and flicker like a rave club. I have 5 bulbs that still work as they should but I am anticipating them to start acting up. The concept of them is great, being able to program and turn on with the app from anywhere. Have them act like motion lights. Great concept but reliability wise extremely disappointing for the cost.

The ability to control the color of each lights makes highlighting home features awesome. Motion detector and time scheduling for lights to come on is easy to set up. Power consumption is so low it still hasn’t registered after a week.

I bought a 60-Watt Equivalent A19 LED Smart Wi-Fi Tunable White Smart Light Bulb powered by WiZ with Bluetooth (1-Pack). I downloaded the WiZ app and connected it to my phone without any problems. However, to automate the light bulb, I had to download another app called WiZ V2, which I found not very user-friendly, and unsure why 2 apps for 1 bulb

Had smart bulb start blinking. Fine under warranty. The 800 number didn’t have support for this bulb. WIZ older model. Was told open chat from app. I do this had to send copy of receipt and video of bulb flashing. Got email saying they would get back to me. After two weeks called 800 number and asked status. They said they would contact group that supports this bulb. Still no communication. Stay away from Philips. I own many and had issue with Home Depot bulb, they gave $ back same day

Buyer Beware! If you are looking for HomeKit Matter integration, this smart bulb is supported! 2020 model 9290023833 still doesn’t support Matter. Only 9290023833A and 9290023833B on worth are supported. Unfortunately, HomeDepot groups both models manufactured in 2020 9290023833 together with the updated model in 2021 9290023833A and 2022 9290023833B with almost the same packaging EXCEPT THE BOTTOM, together under the same SKU!

I got 2 of these for my daughter's room. They were pretty cool, so I bought 4 for the master bedroom. Over time, we bought about 20. Then, they started breaking. Once they break, they're useless. They drop from wifi and will not work. Once they glitch, you can't reconnect them. I have deleted the faulty lights, and they do not go through the startup sequence. The lights seem to think they are connected, they use the last settings when the light switch is turned on/off. No color, no app, nothing

These lights all have uniform colors and you can change them to whatever color you want. I replaced older Phillips hue smart lights that weren't color changing and required a hub with these. The previous lights were good for basic lights and they dimmed, but you can change the color temperature to whatever you want and I no longer need a hub taking up space. The setup process was also fairly simple, took me about 10 minutes from installing them to using the wiz app to setting up voice control with my Alexa device.

Fatal flaw. Do not buy. Have used dozens of different WiFi bulbs over the last decade for many manufacturers and am very tech savvy and have never had issues like this. They are incompatible with my Wi-Fi network which is from the most prevalent ISP in the US with the standard router that pretty much everyone else has. The bulbs go offline and have to be power cycled constantly. Have tried many fixes with no success. Any others experiencing the same problem if you look online. Do not recommend.

don't waste your money it's a waste of time trying to set this up and nothing you do will make it work how it's advertised

I just bought this light today been playing with it all day I don’t get the option to change color and box state change colors.

I hate to give these a bad review, but they have a tendency to stop working either due to a forced firmware upgrade or some other insidious reason a few months after use, or even up to a year after use. And because the firmware updates are literally out of your control, I would not recommend buying these. What's the issue? The RGB LEDs may eventually cease to function at low brightness settings, anywhere below 25% brightness I would estimate. If you use these as colored night lights, you'll eventually be forced to use white light with just a hint of color. Up the brightness to 50% or so and you're able to get the full vibrant color that you expect at all brightness levels. When you turn the light on, you'll briefly see the color illuminate but it will quickly extinguish itself and return to white. At this point, fade-on and fade-out effects are also completely broken as the RGB and white LEDs turn on and off instantly rather than fading. I can't tell whether this is simply a defect or a firmware issue, but I recently had six bulbs fail at the same time, but currently all 9 of my WiZ lights have this issue. Support inside the Android app is impressive, with the tech support representative being able to access your setup and suggest troubleshooting steps. However, I felt as if they weren't listening to my issue; almost like they're required to follow basic steps and not actually try to understand and isolate the issue and make relevant suggestions on how to fix it. I then tried reaching them by email, but unfortunately received a response telling me to use the built-in chat support. I would not grade their support favorably. Basically, don't expect these to work under low brightness indefinitely because they'll probably disappoint you. I don't plan on purchasing any more of these.

These lights required the installation of the Wiz app on your phone for setup but work perfectly with Google Home or Alexa. The lights are completely customizable with the Wiz app and once setup is completed are easy to control using Google Home. I love controlling the lights using my voice and plan to purchase more for the other rooms in the house.

Like all of this type of LED bulbs, you just get half a light instead of a full bulb. I have them in the coach lights on the garage and they aren't bad, but still prefer the look of a full bulb. That being said, it was overall a quick and easy setup to get them operating after downloading the app. I like the variety of choices, not only in color, but in types of light, dimming capabilities, and patterns. It is much more convenient to change the colors for special events and holidays instead of buying bulbs of each color. Several neighbors have done the same thing so we can coordinate our efforts to honor groups such as LEO, military, healthcare workers, etc. as well as celebrate the holidays. So far they have performed well and very happy with the ease of using the app for the lights and also the ability to add new devices later on.

Has been excellent for my intended indoor use. Possible concerns by some consumers; initial programming challenges but always completed, when turning on with app some lights may lag less than a second behind others (I have nine in a theater), will not connect/ change light colors to music being played. This is my 4th Philips LED Bulb and second one with color capabilities. It is so easy to connect these to your WiFi using the WIZ app and then setting it up for a specific location and timer functions if you so desire. The bulb works as promised with the ability to set up so many different colors that you lose count. They work well with Alexa without any issues. I think these are a great addition to any home that is looking to automate their lighting.

Really great quality WIFI light that is super easy to get set up. About us - We have several Google Home/ Nest devices already. We had wanted to get into smart lights, but the need for a hub and lights made if economically non sensical. Enter the Phillips with built in wifi. A simple "Turn on the light" or "Set the light to purple" is all you need and your light is on and the correct shade

I never thought I'd be OBSESSED with a light bulb because, well, it's just a bulb that creates light. Alas, the light bulb has been reinvented and something great has come out of the year 2020. I have never had a "smart bulb" and didn't really understand until I got my hands on this, but installation was super easy and in about 5 minutes I had the app installed on my phone and spent an hour and a half playing around with all the different features through the app. You can pick from the many preset color schemes or create your own and add them to your favorites. My favorites are the 'TV time' (see pictures) which mimic soft ambient blue lighting that doesn't compete with the lighting on your TV screen, and the 'party time' which is a fun montage of colors resembling a nightclub. I only have one of these so far installed in the lamp on my nightstand, but I plan on purchasing several for around the house and linking them all in the app.

Fun light that’s easy to control. Set up was a breeze ... once I gave up on their “smart set up” and just chose manual. The smart set up I literally had the light, phone, and internet next to the lamp and nada. Tried it four times. Then decided to hit manual enter. First try, as easy as cutting through warm butter, the light was set up. The light has fun presets, you can set up a custom view too and set up schedules. I quite enjoy the candlelight and t.v. viewing settings.

I selected this product to handle a problem I had; no light switch installed at the house to control the garage man-door light. I was wasting electricity so I figured if the WiFi would reach I could set and control a schedule on and off nightly. Pairing was simple, the WiFi coverage was good and everything worked through the WiZ app as instructed. I was able to set a schedule which will automatically turn the light off at 7am and on at 7:30pm. It’ll need adjusted after daylight savings time but the app is so easy to use for me that it’ll be simple. I put on Christmas mode as a test, can’t wait until December!

I have the Philips Hue system of lights, but I wanted to give these a try since they have a much lower price point. I had no issues setting up the lights to the app, but you do have to go through several steps. Just follow the directions in the app and you shouldn’t have an issue. I got the light setup and put it in a simple lamp in my office. The Wiz app is fairly straightforward and you can create rooms to organize your lights. You can easily change the color, brightness, and a few more functions through the app. The lights seems decently bright, but the only downside I found is the colors are a bit on the light side. I setup a blue color in the app but it’s not as rich of a blue as it should be compared to other colored lights. However, at the price these are being offered it’s understandable and it’s hard to compare these with lights that cost way more. Overall, this is a nice light and if you want a smart home lighting setup these should do just fine. You can start with one and build upon that as needed.

I ordered the PHILIPS COLOR AND TUNABLE WHITE A19 LED 60-WATT EQUIVALENT DIMMABLE SMART WI-FI WIZ CONNECTED WIRELESS LIGHT BULB. I received it yesterday and installed it. It was not too difficult to follow the procedure to get the light connected to the WiFi/Cloud. I can use my phone to control the Smart Wi-Fi LED, (I don't have the equipment to control it by voice.). I can dim the light and change the colors. I can use the app to turn the light on and off with no problem. There are a lot of features to this light. I have not used all of the features. I have tried to set the alarm which turns the light on and off at specified times, but I am having a difficult time. I haven't thrown in the towel yet, ( I will continue to work with it.). All in all, it's a great concept and you might be able to get all of the features to work.

This is one of the coolest smart devices I've ever owned! The Philips color change and tunable bulb does it all and then some. My first concern with anything "smart" is always, "will it connect easily to my home WiFi?" The short answer is YES! It took a few screen taps and 3 minutes. The Wiz App is so easy to use. The control options are almost endless. There is a scheduling option, a timer feature, a flame look option. You can control how slow or fast the light turns on and turns off. This is an amazing light. When set on the "daylight" option it is more than bright enough to work under. I can't say enough good things about it. Also, If you use Google assistant, Alexa or IFTTT it works perfectly. I use Google with a Nest Hub and the WiZ app sync'd up in just seconds. I also tested what happens with a power outage. There where no issues at all. In 5 minutes everything was running just as before. This bulb is worth every penny paid!

Never got to really use them . . . WAY WAY WAY too difficult to set up. After hours of trying I gave up and returned them.

Out of 4 bulbs 2 have failed within 5 months, they eventually stop connecting to the app and continually flicker different colours, wish I could return them and switch to Govee.

I bought 4 of these bulbs for our bedroom 5 months ago. We have now had 2 of them start flickering. When that happens you can’t even turn them off, just a maddening flicker that doesn’t quit til you remove the bulb. We have 12’ ceilings so it’s not super easy to remove them. Do not buy these!!
