Blade will be locked but still slides out of 90 De
Kinda super sad. I got the saw all set at a 90 degree. Made a few cuts and came back with my square and released it was falling back to just about 89 degrees. Super sad being I need these boards to connect perfectly with no gaps.

    Does The Job Well
Bought this as a birthday gift for my brother. He has been very happy with it so far. Cuts well, good power even on 1 to 2 " thick wood, and is compact enough for a smaller workshop or garage.

    Deck not straight.
I purchased this item several days ago, it had all the options I was looking for. I opened the box tried to set it up, as I was measuring to square it up I noticed the deck was not flat. It would be impossible to ever get a square cut with this saw. I returned it, paid the extra money and bought a Dewalt.

Disappointed. 3 items create inaccurate cuts
Quick Summary: 1) Miter gauge wiggles a lot 2) Rip fence is sticky and hard to make small adjustments + it's not always square/straight. 3) The blade is not 90 degrees out of the box, when I measure with a framing square Details: To premise, I am new woodworker and I've been building out my tool set this year. I received this table saw as a gift, so I am happy to own and continue to use it until I can save up for a more expensive/professional table saw. Also, I own other Ridgid tools and have no issues with those (Jigsaw, Drill/Driver, Driver, Shop Vac). Here is my perspective. This year, I started with some basic tools like a circular saw and miter saw. I built some outdoor furniture with decent outcomes, using mainly glue and screws. Nothing too complex. For my birthday, my parents bought me this because I wanted to do more intricate work that required dado cuts, ripping boards down and other more advanced techniques that you can't do on miter/circular saws. As I've started doing more wood work on this saw and watching videos/learning more about the woodworking craft, I found this saw does not provide reliable and accurate cuts. A few things that really hurt this saw, in my opinion. 1) Miter gauge wiggles a lot - this may be a problem on other saws, but it seems like older models of this saw and higher end models of other saws have less plasticky and more reliable miter gauges that don't wiggle in their slot. Sure, it's a small wiggle but an 1/8th of an inch adds up. Gaps in my joints because I was leaning one way or pushing another way while making a cross cut is not ok with me. 2) Rip fence is sticky and hard to make small adjustments + it's not always square/straight. This video at the 2:05 mark is exactly what I see: https://youtu.be/eDBG11ZR3_o?t=125 plus when trying to make small adjustments, one end will stick and be hard to adjust with a small tap or light nudge. This makes measuring out my rip cuts much more tedious. 3) The blade is not 90 degrees out of the box when I measure with a framing square. This is probably the most frustrating because I can't find a great solution to this. The instructions are really hard to understand, IMO, and there are no youtube videos that address this issue. [see picture] All in all, I've probably spent about 30 hours or so on this saw over the summer and while I don't have much experience, I find these items to be already frustrating and something I know I don't want in the future. Otherwise, the saw works as expected and no other issues that come to mind. Hope this help

            Worthless
When unboxed, the blade was not square to the miter slot. The provided adjustment does not provide enough travel to bring the back of the blade square. It’s always off an eighth.

              Solid table table saw.
I've made a few cuts now and I like it. Cuts straight and feels Heavy duty. Definitely would recommend it to friends and family. Deducted a star because the dust shoot doesn't fit a standard shop vac. It would be nice if it came with an attachment to hold the shop vac in place

                Part broke before use
I just assembled this saw then picked it up to move it and the clip that holds the base to the saw snapped off. Very weak weld. Now I have to drive half an hour to the store, do an exchange, drive home and assemble to new one. This time I will add a couple of pipe clamps to hold the saw to the base.

                  Quality for the price
Excellent quality for the price. Needs better mounts for all the attachments when transporting. Would’ve preferred the model with a rolling stand but unavailable at the time

I love this saw. I don't have a folding stand but the one it came with is good for what I do. I use this saw for ripping sheets of plywood and smaller projects. Only criticism is the plastic parts feel cheaply done. Saw does what i ask of it though.

Good saw for a beginner woodworker
This seems like a great saw for a beginner woodworker like myself. Fairly simple to use portable (because I have to move a car out of my garage to work and don’t have space for a permanent tablesaw) not too expensive, high quality, and backed by Ridgid’s lifetime warranty. Only complaint is that although the manual does explicitly state that the tablesaw can accept dado blades, at this time you cannot buy a dado blade throat plate for the saw. I was able to solve this by making my own dado blade throat plate with this table saw,a jigsaw, and an orbital sander.

                      Precision Machine
I just bought this today, spent over an hour carefully assembling and reading every detail of the manual - and then made my first cut - oh so beautiful it was! I’m modifying a cabinet for a wall oven and the cuts are perfect and precise. Ripping boards is a total dream! After I packed it up For the day, I realized there was no dust on the ground or on me. This is my first table saw. I used my dads craftsman growing up - that was 20 years ago - this one is much better. I’m not a carpenter or handy man - just a regular guy that can now beautifully cut wood.

                        awesome saw for new DIYer
This is my first table saw but after all the research i did it feels like my 20th. I love dewalt products but after watching a video by woodworking guru Steve Ramsey on youtube he suggested to choose a table saw that could accept Dado blades. Dewalts lower models do not. Also he specifically suggested this saw. Well i feel he was right. What a great small but powerful quality saw. All for only $279. The blade was 90degrees right of out of the box. Plus i like all the convenient features and storage. Assembly instructions were fine except for the leg assembly. The legs came out of the box already connected. BUT you need to reverse that configuration. Took me an extra hour to figure that out as the manual did not mention that. Other than that the saw feels tight and secure. The included blade works well as I cut 2*4s like butter.

It's my first table saw. The blade was squared up right out of the box!! For a first timer like me it was supremely easy to setup and to learn how it operates. The blade guard is very easy to install and to remove. The fence is nice and rigid and the measuring ruler on the table gives me pretty exact measurements when using the fence. I started cutting right away and I was very impressed. The blade on the unit is pretty good. I really like this unit and in my first project I did not even have to use my miter saw or my circular saw -- I did everything on this table saw. And the price? It was just right for me. And it is very portable. I made all the cuts for this (first project) small sitting bench with the saw. I was done in 1.5 hours flat!

I bought this after my old 20yr craftsman had motor bearings go out. Have had about 3 weeks so far I like it. I didn't use the stand that came with it because I mounted mine on a rolling worktable. I like the blade braking system that stops the blade within 4 seconds, like the large off switch that you can reach under and hit quickly without searching for a small button, I like the relatively long and sturdy power cord, and I like that the accessories can all be stored on the actual saw itself. The rip fence locks in place firmly with no play which some competitor models lacked. The riving knife wasn't aligned to the blade and I couldn't get it aligned using the supplied instructions in the manual so I ended up taking it off and bending it until it aligned, however my old saw didn't even have one on it. It appears sturdy and well built and I liked the lifetime warranty once it is registered with Ridgid.

Right mix of quality and price for my needs
I had been leery to jump into a new Ridgid table saw for a long time after reading many reviews where motors were prematurely burning out. The lack of a soft-start seemed key to this and a somewhat recent design change. Other common complaints were the location of the table extension release (inset in table top), plastic vise metal gears for blade height, and general quality issues with the table flattness. Well, it seems the folks at Ridgid were listening. The soft-start is a huge improvement over my previous saw, which would trip the breaker 1 out of every 4 or so starts. The blade brake is also nice for stopping the blade quite a bit faster than normal and letting you get setup for the next cut. Tension for the fence and table extension are easily adjustable as is height for the extension table itself, which is good since all three items required some minor tweaks. The throat plate is 1/2” of webbed plastic, but is comparable to more mainstream designs vise thin sheet metal of previous Ridgid saws, so making a zero-clearance plate seems doable. It even includes leveling screws/and mating pads in the saw for this. All of the accessories also have built in storage, another thing that was lacking in previous versions. Metal gears are back for blade height, and quite a bit of attention was paid to dust collection on this round and seems to be helping. This said, there are some areas that are still lacking in my mind. First, adjusting the blade angle is a matter of releasing the lock then pushing the motor assembly to where you want it and relocking. Fortunately, most of my cuts are at 90 or 45, so the stops aide this process, but for any non-standard cuts, this is not ideal. Second, the pointer/indicators for the fence and extension are pathetic. Both are red triangles of a sort that don’t come to a clear point. There’s also limited room in the pointer itself for adjustment, so even at max to one side I’m off by 1/32”, but there’s more room in the opening in the fence for the pointer to shift. I can live with this for now by manually checking width, I had just hoped to move on from that this round. Lastly, plan on buying a new blade as the stock one was leaving burn marks during rip cuts through 5/4 maple. Overall though, I’m happy with the purchase, especially at the price. I’m no cabinet maker, only a weekend hobbyist, so fits my needs quite well. Having installed a new Diablo blade and making the minor tweaks mentioned above, it’s been running like a top for the 2 weeks I've owned it, no matter what I throw at it. Dust collection is good with a basic shop vac attached and the saw is quite a bit quieter than my last. This may seem trivial for a big tool, but when your shop is next to or under your house, every bit counts.

All the power and versatility you need for tough job sites in a convenient portable unit!
Ridgid's new R4518 10 in. table saw and folding stand is powerful enough for full time contractors, yet priced right for the weekend project warrior. From a contractor's standpoint, I like the fact that the stand folds up for maximizing storage space, and quickly folds out and has a convenient hasp like a high end tool box to secure the saw to the stand. If you want to set it on a workbench, it's frame makes it very stable and portable. This saw is intuitive for fast set ups for the professional, yet is loaded with safety features that don't interfere with production. I really like the on-off switch. The green "on" switch is recessed so that you can't accidentally turn it on, yet the red "off" paddle could be shut off with your knee if you needed to keep your hands on the stock. The blade guard and anti-kickback fingers and riving knive are easy to remove and store as needed. I like how the pushstick storage is in a convenient spot for grabbing it when needed on narrow rips. The fence locks square and true and adjustments are a cinch. I also like how the motor is a slow start for safety and has a built in brake. This is a great safety feature. The cast aluminum table is stable and true. It's also great that if you have wet green lumber it won't rust, so will be low maintenance. Seen in the pictures, I ripped and bookmatched some Paduak (a wood that matches Ridgid orange) for some future pistol grips. Padauk is extremely dense and hard. The saw handled a 2-5/8" deep rip with no problem whatsoever. The price point and features make this saw a must for anyone wanting to add a table saw to their tool arsenal

I am a retired carpenter and I really like this saw. I never used Ridgid when in the trade, but I really do like this brand now. The price point to quality is great for a light use home shop. Not production quality at 1/10th the price of shop equipment, but this saw is great. I also have a Ridgid wet tile saw from 2 years ago and it is a dream to work with.

                              Rigid Warranty is meaningless
Cheap plastic throat plate shattered within 2 uses. I applied for a replacement part back in September I was told that it would be shipped out. It is April now of the following year and after and after being on hold for 30 minutes before even speaking with someone, was told they still don't have a replacement part. They should just change the warranty to lifetime if we have the part, which we don't.

After several months of use, this saw sucks.
The saw seems to have plenty of power, but the blade has to be forced excessively to lock in at zero. However, what is more aggravating is the extreme difficulty in getting the blade to raise or lower after several months of use. And yes, I have cleaned the threads on the elevator rod. In general a good saw, just not recommended for projects requiring very much blade manipulation.

The saw wasn't even close to accurate out of the box. I spent a couple hours adjusting it to cut straight. I maxed out the adjustments and it still would not cut a straight 90 degree cut. Then the fence was not straight no matter how many different ways to clamp it down, it had too much free play. A company like Rigid, and in 2024 should be selling an accurate saw that makes straight cuts. I returned the saw before even plugging it in. I ended up getting a Skil table saw with a rack and pinion adjustable table for less money and it's very accurate.

I’ve had this for a year and I wish I could go back in time and slap whoever made this pile of plastic junk. Whatever you do, do not buy this truly terrible piece trash. The fence broke, the built in sliding tape measure broke, the blade clearance insert broke and all the adjustment knobs are cheap plastic that doesn’t tighten enough to get a consistent cut. I will never, ever buy rigid again.

This saw is very useful for carrying out small jobs with considerable precision. It has various options to calibrate the accuracy of the cuts. Its size and foldable legs make it easy to transport and use practically anywhere. With the appropriate blade, it can make cuts quickly with very little effort. However, it's important to remember that it's not an industrial-grade equipment, so the size of the pieces to be cut is limited. In summary, for its price and quality, this equipment performs a satisfactory job.

The table saw failed after 4 days on site. The up down blade mechanism seized up, even when clean ( which I do daily) and the crank snapped off. You’re on your own to get it repaired. Home Depot won’t take it. Don’t buy this saw.

                                        Broken after light use.
Start soft controller went out on me while sawing some pine. It's only seen light use on a few DIY projects. It's been stored in the garage and treated well. No reason for it to already be down.
