This router constantly shuts off. I needed to use a 3/4" bit (brand new) to go 1/4" deep. It took about 8 very small passes due to shutting if I set it at even 1/8" depth. Don't buy

I mostly like this router. I have two complaints about its design that continuously irritate me. 1) the cam lever that is supposed to tighten and release the base from the motor housing for depth adjustment has no range of motion. It's pointless. I have to tighten the nut with a nut driver because the cam lever doesn't do anything. 2) The triangle symbols next to the depth micro adjustment dial mean absolutely nothing. After a couple years of wondering which one indicates "more depth" and which one indicates "less depth," I finally wrote a plus sign and a minus sign over them with a sharpie. Finally, it makes sense.

Easy to use, instructions are clear and simple. Works as expected.

Router worked great using a 3/4" bit and included edge guide to make mortices along the length of 12' boards. I didn't try to use any dust collection, since I was outside, but i'm not sure how I would attach it, which is my only concern.

Although, this is a great trim router. When the brushes need to be replaced; you will need to replace the trim router. I cannot find anyone that carries the brushes for this trim router. I have contacted several "so called" suppliers for the brushes for this specific trim router. They will not even return my emails. Do yourself a favor and get a trim router that is brushless or a trim router that has brushes that are available to purchase.

I just bought this router two hours ago, and I have to take it back without ever plugging it in. Router template bushing guides need to be installed/inserted in the center of the base, in order to be able to rout out for hinge butts, door lock latches, strike plates, and more. But it is impossible to install a router bushing template in either of the two bases that come with this router, and I think it's that way on all of Home Depot's routers. In every other way, this is an excellent router.

Versatile little router. Perfect for prepping door jambs for hinges and strike plates. Powerful tool for its size but easy to control.

This router has performed good so far. Easy to hold and use.

I wanted to love this but I had issues getting things tightened and them staying tight and it ruined a few of my projects because of that. Also the power button is in a horrible place and it's not very ergonomically designed for lots of use

I've ruined too many pieces with this thing due to the collet not staying tight... would not recommend... has lots of power and seems perfect except for the collet... design flaw .

have ruined way too many peices because the collet will just not stay tight... the bit slips and you lose your measurements immediately.... hard to recommend this one.

The on/off switch quit working during first use so I exchanged it and the switch on the new on works sporadically. I have to move it up and down several times for it to come on. The depth guide is not easy and the barrel requires a lot of force to remove. I don’t have receipt as it was a gift and can’t get a refund.

I bought one 12 years ago and used it a lot. It finally gave out and I sent it in for repair. I purchased another one because I liked using it and am making another project and need to router some parts now before putting pieces together. Very nice router and easy to use

It seems well built, good quality but when in use the bit would move up and down even though it was tight in the router. I needed a consistent leveled cut which it didn't give me and ruined various pieces of wood. Although it was tightened and the bit placed correctly, according to instructions, it's still moved.

Router is well made and feels good in your hand with a comfortable grip. It’s really nice that they include the cleared base plates with the LED light which makes it really easy to see your stock when cutting. I also really like the included material guide that comes with it. The depth adjustment is nice and easy to use but it takes a bit of effort to turn the fine adjustment.
