Easy to use!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this as a gift. The first tool that is actually mine instead of my husband’s! Super easy set up and use. Within 5 min I had cut out pieces that I need to make my first craft project!! I love it so much!

    Works great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Needed a new scroll saw in a hurry to make a birthday present after my old one failed. Wasn’t sure about this one after reading some of the reviews but after using it I figured the bad reviews were from inexperience. This saw worked great and I like the easy blade changing and variable speed control. Very low vibration after mounting to my work surface.

      Bang for the buck!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looked at several scroll saws out there and did not like the price of most. Came across the Ryobi and decided to give it a shot. Straight out of the box it is pretty much ready to go. Only thing it needs is to have the table tightened and blade adjusted, plug and go. The finish on it is a tad bit rough however. On the underside of the table there are a lot of sharp edges that need to be addressed that have potential to slice you open. The air cleaner added to remove debris from the cut area is a great touch though. Overall, the price point is right, it works for what I need it to do and it will last plenty long enough if ever decide to upgrade to a better saw. Highly recommend.

        Nice Scroll Saw.
Once the saw is properly setup it is a pleasure to use. When we got the saw it was equipped with a pinned blade which we wanted to change with a pinless (plain) blade since that's what we use. The blades would not clamp at all. Upon close inspection we discovered that from the factory the saw was incorrectly assembled, the blade retention parts were inverted and the blade retaining screws were in the wrong way. After exchanging the top retention block with the bottom retention ones and putting the hand screws in from the proper side (threaded side of retention block last so it actually clamps) and one minor comfort modification we have had zero issues with the saw and blade changes are quick and easy. If we weren't able to figure this our the saw would have been returned in disappointment although it speaks to quality control. The comfort modification is for access to the bottom retention screen as their is very little room for your hand to fit. For easier access we removed dust cover and extended the cutaway about one inch, smoothed cut edges, painted to prevent rust and reassembled. This scroll saw is now well worth the price and would be highly recommended with the caveat of quality control. Oh and the blue tape in the photo is holding a small ⅜" thick block that is attached on the arm and under the bellows to increase the airflow that clears the dust.

Great scroll saw for a great value
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had an older Craftsman scroll saw but I needed something that would accept blades without the pins so I could cut some thin copper. This saw worked perfectly out of the box and was able to hold the fine jewelers blades and cut my copper pieces. I would highly recommend this saw if you are in need of something for smaller projects.

            A great waste of money.
1st project: blade clamp screw stripped. 2nd project: the outer covering of the blade clamp screw came off. There’s NOTHING that I can do to loosen or tighten it at this point. Aside from my technical difficulties ,a lot of pilot holes: Forget about it. There wasn’t enough space to type, but I would fervently not recommend.

              Don't buy this...
Just got it home today. Opened the box and literally the first thing is see is a crack in the metal arm on the top of the scroll saw. It looks like they tried to glob paint on it to hide the crack but it's blatantly obvious that the metal is compromised... The seam where the two pieces of metal are bolted together looks terrible and the fit and finish is nowhere near what it looks like in the pictures. I don't know what I expected from a garbage tool made in China... It will be returned the first chance I get.

So much fun, easy to use
I found the ryobi scroll saw easy to setup and use with both pinned and pinless blades. Learning curve was a lot easier than I expected. I was able to cut complex shapes after a few hours of practice as were my 12 year old and 9 year old. I am delighted with what this thing can do.

                Horrible product, don’t buy it
I bought this saw in order to make little projects at home. The first one I bought was great—or so I thought. The knob to take the blade on and off snapped after ONE light use. Then I used the hex key to turn it which worked for approximately two projects. Then the bolt itself snapped in half. I brought the saw back to Home Depot, thinking it was a fluke. I got my second saw and it was fine for 2 projects. Then the exact same thing happened. I was using the saw to make Christmas presents and so I didn’t have any choice but to return again and use the Ryobi saw because that was all they had in stock at the store. That saw worked for 3 projects, and now the same bolt snapped in half. I am returning this and never buying one again. Horrible.

                  Great tool for the price!!
I love this little router! It is very easy to handle with a nice solid base that doesn’t seem tippy or unwieldy at all. It has sufficient power for any hand held routing needs. It is easy and accurate to adjust. The fact that it is cordless is a huge plus! Definitely worth the purchase. You will not be disappointed!

For the price, you cannot beat it
I purchased this as my first scroll saw a few years ago. The 16 inch was more than enough for what I needed at the time and for the price, how could I go wrong? The saw is great. Easy blade changes, cut through everything I put through it thus far including MDF, 3/4 inch ply, 1 1/2 inch glued up pine, and more. Another important tool in my arsenal, paid it off 20 fold in the amount of money it has made me. The only reason I give it 4/5 stars it because it tends to jump around a bit when not bolted to the work surface, even on low speed settings. When it is bolted, there tends to be a vibration that affects the work surface.

                      Amazing price for the function
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] *Not a paid review* I bought this 2 months ago, had used it several times, and I love it! (That was said with giddy excitement by the way) The price point is unbeatable for the quality hands down. I use the Ryobi blades with the saw and have cut stock from 1 3/4" to 1/8". I used the appropriate blade for each job and the scroll saw handled them with ease. This was my first woodworking project ever and after review of my table feet/scroll saw cuts from professional woodworkers, they thought I had used a bandsaw instead of a scroll saw because the cuts turned out so good. I now know it's because the Ryobi saw just works that good. I had subsequently used an expensive Craftsman scroll saw and couldn't make them as nicely as my go to Ryobi. I love it!!! In fact so much that I'm going to make tables for people with this lamination technique with my handy dandy green saw. For real, I seriously love this thing. The cons: *The aluminum flashing under the work table top is sharp when you need to change a broken blade and can cut you. I just took my husband's file and fixed it since it's where no one will see it. *When you turn the rpm's up fully, right only at the very top, the vibration creates a mild jumping. Not really a huge deal and you can still work with it just fine. *Could use a flexible light but this is really wonton considering the amazing price that would have to change for this feature add on. Plus I can just buy one but a girl can dream. These are seriously minor cons and every plus sinks anything else. I loved that tool so much that I had bought their band saw, 1/4 sheet sander, 18v random orbital, the 10" table saw, 10" sliding miter saw, miter stand, impact driver, and belt sander all in 2 months. They are that good. I've given borrowed tools back because they are inferior and cost 2 to 5 x's more. You can't beat it for the cost and you won't feel frustrated by then not working as well because they do. Just do it. Your welcome :)

                      Ryobis failure at the ScrollSaw
This item is cheaply made cracked and broke quickly. Harbor freight made one a lot better for a lot less. Now i know why this item is not in stores. No one would purchase it if seen first hand. On the pic on the box it shows rubber feet . There are none in the box. It is Trash

                          Ryobi brings it home!!
Ryobi Scroll Saw has literally made my whole job... we were laying about 1200 sqft of laminate flooring and came to some really wonky corners with extra trim and it wasn't jiving with my jig saw so I had a thought let's try a scroll saw and best decision of the while job!! It's made cake work of that pesky laminate flooring no more corner problems now it was super simple about 10 mins to unbox and get set up and stratton working 😀 I used the 18tpi blade to make the finest of cuts. I recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this because my 30 year old Dremel scroll saw finally came to an end. I shopped around the internet for a replacement, and ran across this electric Ryobi scroll saw. I was not aware at the time that Ryobi had an electric scroll saw. I have several other Ryobi tools that are battery operated, and very happy with their overall performance. I figured that I would not be disappointed. This scroll saw meets all of my expectations and more. I would recommend this to other customers

The saw came assembled. However, I removed the left side plate covering the thumb screw used for blade changes. While a tool was provided for the screw, it is too difficult to use. Removing this plate makes the vacuum tube inefficient. It was a trade off I am willing to make so my grandson can learn to scroll.

I bought this saw specifically for cutting foam talk bubbles for my photo booth. I haven't done much in wood projects yet, but I am liking the results of my intended purposes so far. And I will be doing a lot more with it in wood too. It is definitely a necessary tool.
