Customer Reviews for RYOBI Auger Grease Cutter and Bulb Tip Kit for Drain Auger P4002 Models

I bought this 4 piece because Home Depot list this item as “frequently bought together” along with the Ryobi p4002 25’ hybrid drain auger. Here’s the rub: It works exclusively with P4003 auger ONLY. These tips will not work with the P4002.

Be sure the model number of your ryobi auger is P4003, not P4002 for this product!! It will not fit model number p4002, they are to big for p4002

This does a great job for smaller pipes. However, if you have a pipe at 6 inches of diameter, these just are not big enough. The cutter is only 2 inches wide. The other items are about that wide as well.

A good mix of tools to clean out different clogs. Not all will go around the corners in 1 1/2 inch pipe.

I have found the Ryobi products to be well built and useful. That was the case with these cutter tips for my Ryobi Drain Auger. Worked well and made an unpleasant task much easier.

I bought these tips to use with my Ryobi Drain auger, but these bits do not fit the tip on their auger.

I had a grease clog in my 2" kitchen pipe. The grease cutter was too big to get past the first 90 deg bend. I used the spade cutter which cleared the clog after running over the problem area a few times--took a few times to stop it from re-clogging. Then the screw that held the spade tip to its stem (stem holds the cutter to the auger cable) came off inside the pipe, cutter & screw never came back out. Then the cable got stuck/jammed, not sure if the tip coming off caused the jam or released it.

Exactly what I needed for cleaning out those stubborn clogged drains.

Did the job as expected. I’m no plumber, but I got my drain unplugged.

The entire product would have been okay if the end where the bits go had a more flexible stem. So essentially the stem would not bend on pipe that had a 80 to 90 degree turn so it went no where and was not able to reach the clog. I returned all items for a refund to Home Depot. Another problem was that Home Depot didn’t do a cash refund but instead put my refund on a Home Depot Gift Card to use in the future. Reason the Credit Card I used was no longer active due it being closed out.

Unfortunately it dis notbfit my ryobi when i searched for cutter tips these came up but they're too big. I cant return them because of HD policy on returns no good there.

The attachment would not even fit the tools I could not get them on at all they need to be redone

The grease cutter worked great, really didn't need the other tip, since it comes included with the auger.

ONLY tips that work with Ryobi augers. Soyou have no other choice.

So the reason for this package being purchased(prior items,same style) is Ryobi's new part of the tool gang approach. Ryobi was one of fhe few companies that printer in large print 18v models ,drain augers while looking the same needec different augers . so after trjsti g the auger bits hanging in the store next to the auger purchased customers get pranked. Ryobi was always clear on the front ofca package regarding getting the right part. So it goex

These little addons to the Ryobi power drain auger fit properly and work as intended.

Slowed down a lot when going through grease build up, but that may just be the Ryobi multi-power tool and not the attachment. One of the wing/teeth became chipped when used in galvanized pipe.

The auger tips are affordable. They do not break through tough clogs. I spent 4 days working on my clogged drain to no avail. I had to call in the professionals..
