I bought this Razor-Back 4 in. Forged Sidewalk Scraper for use around the yard, it is very helpful for chopping out bushes and unwanted plants without making a big mess like a pickaxe usually does. Overall It is made really well and I don't have any complaints. I might give it a quick sharpen because it has a decent edge but it could be sharper. Highly recommend it.

The Razorback scrapper has made my stump removal job much easier. It cuts through finger sized roots with one hit. It is much easier to wield and more precise cutting roots than a shovel. You can also get into tighter spaces when digging and cuts through my clay soil easier. I also removed some old epoxy from my sidewalk with it to see how well it scrapes. Worked well.

The RazorBack 4 inch Forged Sidewalk Scraper is an old-fashioned tool that does a superior job cleaning off the edges of concrete walkways, driveways, curb edges or chopping vegetation that has overgrown them. The heavy-duty iron blade works well for chopping roots, or solidified clay masses when working in close quarters. I suspect I’ll be utilizing it (a lot) when winter arrives to clear ice from the steps, walkways and parking ramps around my house. The blade is sharp and sturdy and the handle is 54 inches long, made of solid hardwood and smoothly tapered for a good grip.

When I first received this Razor Back Scraper, I wasn't sure how many uses that it would have other than to break up or chop ice during the winter season. Now that I have it, I have found other uses. I removed old stick on tiles that were over linoleum and then removed the linoleum. It was so much easier than getting on your hands and knees with a hand scraper. I also used it as a lawn edger along my driveway, taking out the overgrowth. The blade is very sharp and solid and the handle is long and very thick and doesn't feel like it would ever break. I would definitely recommend this razor back Scraper. I took a picture of it leaning against my truck so you can see the length of handle and blade. It's a 4x4 with 20 inch wheels.

I got this 4 inch sidewalk scraper for a project that I was in the middle of. My lawn had grown over the brick border so that the bricks were not even visible anymore. I had started clearing off the bricks by getting down on my hands and knees and scraping with a heavy duty putty knife, not fun! When I got this scraper with its long handle my project became much easier. I can now scrape the overgrown lawn off of the bricks while standing upright. The handle is very strong and the tempered steel blade is thick and has a beveled front edge. A well made tool that is perfect for my use.

This 8" scraper is 2" wider than our other scraper, so it will get the job done faster. It's actually almost 8 3/8" wide. We usually get ice a few times during the winter on our long driveway and this should be helpful. The blade is beveled on one side. The finish on the handle feels rough, so we are going to use some fine sandpaper to fix that. We haven't had any ice yet, but looking forward to using it. I will have try it for edging in the summer also.

This scraper has a long wooden handle to give you easy control. The head is attached with a long taper to to the handle and then riveted in place. The long taper makes the connection stable. The blade is forged and then welded to the handle attachment. The welds appear to be strong. The blade is ground to an angle to better scrape. This will work well for tile, carpet and similar materials. I wouldn't use this for ice because it doesn't have a sharp enough angle on the blade. I think it would also work well for edging planting beds.

Very well designed and well built to get the job done.  For starters I've used this to move weeds from the driveway sections, and will use it later this weekend for edging. Very sharp, well designed heavy-duty blade with a lifetime warranty. The handle is solid hardwood, and nicely finished. The overall tool is very well balanced, and kept my hands and my forearms from getting tired out.  I like the weight of it, but even more so, only takes a push or two to move the debris from where your work area is. Also works great to scoop up the residual matter.  I would highly recommend this to all interested Home Depot Shoppers. My son saw it and wants one of his own now. He'll be using his to clean concrete debris and scrapings from his shop floor at work.

I used the scraper to remove some tile. It worked out really good and it’s a good tool to have combined with some other tools I had to remove the flooring. I really like the scraper on it because it is rocksolid. The handle is also very heavy duty and thick and feels good with not a lot of vibration when using it. The quality is definitely there and I definitely know I probably won’t need to buy one ever again after owning this one. It definitely made the floor job a lot easier. Great tool to have and you don’t realize how important it was until you actually have one. And I’ll sharpen it if it gets dull.

I have other Razorback garden tools which I have been very happy with. I was surprised to see the head looks like it was welded onto the part that connects to the handle. Probably still plenty strong but when I think Razorback I expected to see a fully forged head like on their smaller angled sidewalk scrapers. Everything else looks great. Good handle. Attachment is very good. The head is heavy and wide for scraping large strips of ice. Haven't had much ice to really give it a good go but it's comfortable to use on the sidewalk.

This just arrived yesterday and by appearances and handling it will do the job and last a while. The handle is thick (so probably not best for small hands) and the head is heavy forged steel. There are necessary warnings on the handle to keep it away from your toes, as with a little sharpening you could probably cut off your toes with it. I expect it to make quick work of any built-up ice. I do wish the head had a bit of an angle to it, as it is a straight line from the top of the handle down to the blade (see pictures). I've been using a weeding hoe with a similar design, only the head is smaller, lighter, and angled so the blade can skim the surface. It worked pretty well, but was too light. I'm concerned using a tool this straight might result in a little back pain after long periods of use.

RAZOR-BACK 8 IN. FORGED SIDEWALK SCRAPER , is sturdy enough for professional use, but without all the fiberglass bells and whistles that raise the price .Multiple uses from breaking up ice in winter to edging my flower beds. Good solid, well made piece of equipment. More than satisfied. If you are looking for a basic, inexpensive scraper for random home use, this tool will meet your requirements. Highly recommend.

The Razorback Sidewalk scraper arrived with the box beat up. I opened it and found the blade was bent slightly. I was able to straighten it. It is still true and scrapes evenly. The blade is 8 inches wide. The scrapers handle is made out of wood. It is light but does scrape without a lot of effort. I have not bent the blade yet while using it but the way it arrived I am a little hesitant on putting alot of force behind it.

When I saw this Ice Chopper being part of the review program I knew I would need it. My front door does not get sun at all. Living in New England we have a lot of Snow and Ice Storms. I haven't owned a Ice chopper for a few years. i am very happy to now sand and chop the Ice in front of my deck on warmer days This is a very heavy, sturdy and sharp tool and does the job perfectly.

I was totally amazed at the solid feel and the weight of the head on this scraper. The size (8 inches wide) allows you both the weight and surface to tackle larger jobs with relative ease. The first area we put it to work was an old asphalt tile floor in our utility room which was ready to be replaced with new more colorful vinyl tile for both color and durability. The job of removing the old tile was made easy as this tool did a fast and relatively easy job out of what was expected to be difficult. I have several more jobs lined up that I know this scrapper will make things much easier.

If your looking for a multi-purpose have duty scraper then the Razor-Back 8 in. Forged Sidewalk Scraper is a great well built tool. the Razor-Back 8 in. Forged Sidewalk Scraper has a solid hardwood handle and a heavy duty forged blade end that has some serious weight to it. This is not a lightweight blade, which is a good thing as I plan on using it to chop though all the ice during winter. The heavy blade also helps with keeping the force of the work you apply to the tool at the business end. The only issue I had is I wish the handle had a thicker protective coating to it, and the blade could use a 2nd means of being fastened to the handle.

Razorback is a name I have been familiar with for many years and considered to be a top brand name. This 8 in. Forged Sidewalk Scraper has a nice high-quality forged blade and the blade tang and heavyweight ferrule are welded into a single solid unit. There will be no loosening of this during use. The wood handle is also a solid clean grained hardwood stick and promises long life with hard usage. So, the components are consistent with the reputation of the brand. Unfortunately, the joining of the components, at least on the scraper I got, was poor. The ferrule was about 1/16 inch larger than the tapered end of the handle and the two parts are held together with a single rivet so it wiggled. The fix was not difficult but should not have been needed. I removed the rivet, trimmed the end of the handle a bit, re-joined the two and replaced the rivet with a stainless screw. We have had limited ice to scrape since I have owned it but it has worked very effectively on what we have had.

This Razor-Back 8 inch Forged Sidewalk Scraper is built quite heavy and the handle is longer than my old one which would be very handy for tall people. The wooden handle feels heavy and ridged and the steel forged scraper should take a lot of use without any problems, no ice to scrape yet where I am at but I will be ready with this when it hits us. The only complaint I would bring up is that the wooden handle's finish was somewhat ruff on bare hands so I had to use some 220 grit sand paper on it to smooth it out.

You need a good, well made scraper for shopping, ice, roots or any other imaginable item? Here's your answer. The Razor Back 8 inch sidewalk scraper is the most versatile scrapper/chopper I've ever used. Besides it being very robust in its' construction, the extra width is an added bonus. You can scrap ice of the driveway/sidewalk with less effort than most of these 3-4 inch brands. This is a fine addition to my winter arsenal of snow and ice removal tools.

Razor-Back 8” Forged Sidewalk Scrapper is well made with strong steel blade and sturdy wooden handle. It came in handy as soon as I received it because we had an ice storm, and the driveway and sidewalk were covered in ice. This scrapper performed flawlessly. It can also be used to remove old roof shingles and tar paper, as well as other needed tasks requiring scrapping. I’ll use it this spring to edge around my mulch beds. See pics below.

A good weighted scraper. Although listed as an ice scraper there are many other uses for it. Living in Florida there's not much chance of ice anytime soon. I use it around the house to dig into the ground when leveling hardpan/compacted root bound dirt. I have also used it to scrap off porcelain/ceramic tile for replacement (simply run it through the thinset). My only concern is where the blade attaches to the handle. Both blade and handle are substantial, but there's only one rivet attaching the two. As a result the blade is loose at the attachment. Time will tell whether it will last.

This industrial grade eight inch wide Razor-Back scraper will scrape ice, concrete, or anything else from road, paver or floor surfaces. It can be used to remove roofing, siding and flooring. The head is heavy, about 2 pounds, and is heavy forged steel so it should make any scraping job easier. The handle is nicely sized and very well finished. This tool can also be used, in conjunction with shovels, for digging, clearing trenches and for limited lawn edging. The tool head is made in China and the tool is assembled in the US.

This is going to be a good tool to have this winter! It seems very sturdy. It’s heavier and longer that I expected it to be, but hopefully that means it will be durable. A small complaint is that it had stickers on it that left a little residue when I took them off which is annoying and attracts grime, but you can wash that off. Other than that, it looks sleek (not that it’s the kind of thing you buy for looks).

The RAZOR-BACK 8 IN. FORGED SIDEWALK SCRAPER is a nice sturdy tool. I haven’t used it on the sidewalk or driveway because we haven’t had much bad weather yet, but I did used it to break up ice on the pool cover so I could remove the chunks. And I will say, it worked great. I also found it really helpful to cut the overgrowth of grass on our sidewalk and it worked really really well as an edger. It is built very well, and it takes a lot of abuse from me stomping on it to cut the grass.

This ice scraper is strong and heavy. Perfect for our New England weather. We have a brick walkway and the snowblower and shovel just can't get all of the snow and ice out of the cracks and uneven surfaces. this scraper makes easy work of loosening the ice and allow for it to be swept away or melt on warmer days. I also have granite steps in front of the house and water drips from the roof-line making a dangerous exit & entrance to the house. I was able to chip it away easier than ever wit this scraper. The handle is a nice thick wood handle and the blade is a heavy gauge forged metal. So far it hasn't bent, chipped or dinged in any way. I have only used it 3 times but it worked well.

The quality of the tool seems to be built well. The handle is sturdy and attaches well to the sharp end. Unfortunately, the sharp end was not very sharp. it is light making it easy to throw around but not heavy enough to have any weight to help drive the sharp end through roots. This will handle small roots. Large roots is barely makes a dent in unless you plan on being there for a long time to chip away at the roots.
