With the help of latex gloves, I was able to squeeze the tube and apply a generous amount around the pipe for my gas dryer. I was a bit hesitant because I am prone to making mistakes, but this product got the job done. The curing time for gas appliances shows one hour if we use this product tube in the yellow packaging, but 24 hours to cure for the product in the mini canister. Point is this product is my absolute go-to product and is my gas dryer hero.

I had to replace my gas water heater and I was recommend tape by a HD employee. This stuff was easy to use and can be kinda messy but it works! As a first time DIY with gas I was paranoid about leaks and I used bubble and gas detector and these was no leaks. It does have a smell to it though, but over time I think it would go away since the cure time is two days I think, but for natural gas residential applications cure time doesn't matter since it is low PSI.

Easy to use. Not messy.

Purchased this RectorSeal to use along with Teflon tape. This product could’ve been used as a stand alone but I am old school and prefer to use both. It’s a quality sealant that doesn’t require a large amount to get the job done.

The tube split where the slot is cut to hang it on a peg at the store. Made an awful mess. Also, the amount of product you get for the price does not seem to match. Way to small for the price paid.

After removing the cap and puncturing the tip, when squeezing the tube, the product blew out the bottom of the tube getting all over everything. The product I used after wiping it off my pants and floor seemed to work good with no leaks.
