I purchased this saw 6 months ago and being a weekend hobbyist I have used it every weekend. This saw is a piece of crap in my opinion. The pieces that hold the legs together to keep them from collapsing have all broken. I have tried to put them back together with traditional cotter pins but that does not work. Let's talk about the bag at the bottom. Gravity is great but it does not work well in this application, No way to hook up a shop vac without drilling into the cabinet and ruining it. The bag falls off at a whim, you can't move it from location to location with the bag attached. Because of this, using this saw without the blade guard in place requires full goggles and almost a full face shield for protection from the hurling debris! I will be replacing this saw asap!

I am so happy to receive this email from you. I have a busy work schedule and had plans to get a hold of you. I am so very disappointed with this table saw. I had a shed built so I could do my wood projects in it. I already have a craftsman 10 in. table saw, that has done everything I needed it to do (except cut through a 4x4 with one cut). Well I am doing projects that I use 4x4's, as we both know they are under 4 inches in size. So I went online to see if they made a table saw that would cut them with one cut. That's when I came across your Rockwell saw. I was so excited and told my husband how much easier having it would make doing my projects. So I purchased it and this past Sunday I had the chance to use it. Well while we were putting it together there is a a plate on the table on the right side of blade that has a crack on it (I took a picture). And it sounds great while it is running, but when you shut it down and the R.P.M. are slowing down the motor sounds like it grinding. So now to try to cut a 4x4 down the middle, it won't cut all the way through. How disappointing it won't and that is the only reason I purchased it. I took pictures of it with a tape measures by the board and the blade and clearly you can see it wont. So I would like to find out how I can return it??? Wish I would have read all the reviews before I purchased it, because I would not have done it. I hope you can help resolve this problem, I have also included photos.

Love this saw it's my 3rd one
This bad boy dies what ever I need it to do. Y'all made the perfect saw for the job site. Thank you so much. I do custom rustic wood working and this saw handles old oak boards like a charm.

      I like the features.
I bought this for the features after my Hitachi saw burned out the motor. This saw was cheaper than a new motor. My regret is that you can see the laser shining in the bottom but it doesn’t show on the work surface. It’s useless.

I bought this from the Home Depot as a special order, to replace my old Makita job site saw. I totally love this saw! The design and functions are awesome and well thought out! I will agree with other comments; The instructions are somewhat lacking and misleading.... I haven't had the table saw that long - about 1 month, but have used it on Oak, and other hardwoods, ripped several sheets of plywood, melamine, from 1/4" to 3/4" and even a few 2x4's. The saw made the cuts as expected without any adverse performance. I'm an old school type guy. I'm not using the laser or dust bag. If I were to use the table saw in a shop environment I would adapt the dust bag to my dust collection system, but I am not... The table saw came pretty well adjusted right out of the box. I made a minor adjustment to true the cutting fence, which wasn't as easy as I anticipated - as compared to my shop Unasaw or old Makita, but once tweaked it's held the true alignment perfectly!! (the Makita never did!!). I have a lot of friends whom are contractors/cabinet makers. I have NEVER seen or used another brand "job site" table saw that comes close to the stability, accuracy or stability as this Rockwell table saw - at any price! Fantastic job Rockwell!!! I have and will continue to highly recommend this product to anyone!

Easily gets 4.5 - 5 stars compared to other models in it's class. Above average portable saw. Folds and moves easily. Better than average rip fence. Mine came adjusted accurately from the factory. None of all the portable saws that I've looked at had a good crosscut guide including this one. Powerful motor. Only saw that cuts 4"X 4"s in one pass. Came in two days early. Highly recommended.

I feel like this saw would have been adequate for my DIY needs if not for a fatal flaw... there are virtually zero adjustments for the riving knife, blade guard or for squaring the blade to the mitre slots. None whatsoever. If everything's not lined up perfectly from the factory, all you can do is return the saw. After assembling my new saw, I realized that the blade guard's splitter was offset from the blade by more than a blade width. I removed the guard and attached the riving knife in its place, same deal. It was off so far that it was impossible to feed material through the saw. I searched the manual looking for adjustment instructions and found none. I phoned Rockwell customer support and spoke with a lady who didn't seem too sure what a table saw was. After she put me on hold for several minutes she returned to say that to make the adjustment, I needed to loosen the riving knife's lockdown lever, hold the knife in the right place, then lock it back down. That might have "corrected" a problem with the knife height, but would not work for the knife's horizontal position relative to the blade. So, back to the store it goes while I decide between a $299 Kobalt and a $500 DeWalt (both of which provide adequate adjust-ability) to replace it.

Good for ripping boards. Lacks other features.
I purchased this saw about a year and a half ago. I like the stability and portability of the saw. Before I purchased the saw, I did a little research and I liked that it can accept a dado blade and had a sliding table option. However, I was fooled. You can't find any of the accessories anywhere. I had to fabricate a dado insert and to be honest, I'd rather just use the router to cut dados. It says it'll accept up to a 6" dado blade and cut 9/16" dados in the instructions. It won't unless you feel comfortable with just one rotation on the arbor nut. I was able to safely cut a 5/16" dado without worrying about the blade flying off. I would have liked to use the sliding table, but a few roller stands will have to do since it's nearly impossible to find. The throat plate could have been better designed and sits shy of the table. Don't measure off it when setting blade depth. You'll be off. The aluminum top and miter bar sometimes stick making cuts a little scary. The paint on the top is starting to flake a little. Bottom line... I think it's a good (very) basic table saw and you could get the same results with another saw without spending as much. I'll be upgrading soon to possibly a sawstop or bosch. This saw just wasn't what I expected.

The table saw top is aluminum and looks as though it was finished ground with a 36 grit surface grinder. Its not flat and vey rough. The fence keeps getting hung up where the table top extension folds and the miter is very cheap and flimsy. Unfortunately for me I bought this saw sight unseen, so I own it. It stores away nicely and I like its portability. It cuts wood.

              Easy Portability
I have had this table saw for about 6 months and am still finding things to like about it. Everything has been well thought out. Fence is dead-on true to the scale. Virtually no other saw out there has included the foldover extention for the fence allowing rip cutting capacity. A jewel of a saw!

                Best bang for the buck
Have owned the Jobsite saw for 2 years and I think it is well worth the price. I have limited space and it is easy to setup and put away. Plenty of power even on hardwood. Laser should be triggered with power switch. Not battery powered.

I have had this saw for about 3 months now and I really have no complaints I love the ease of moving it with the collapsible legs and wheels and it is so nice and easy to use the miter and also the extended side table the measuring stop is always accurate have absolutely no complaints about this saw oh yes and I love the dust collector at the bottom it doesn't eliminate all dust but probably 90 to 95% I am very pleased with this purchase

We like the saw. I would have liked the legs to be removable as we have mounted it to a larger work table, but we were able to make it work. Otherwise it is easy to use. My wife loves it.

The sliding guide groove is about 1/16th inch oversized causing non-square crosscut guidance. The splitter guide is not aligned with blade causing wood pieces to hit the splitter midway thru cut and then burning edges

I had originally owned this saw and the motor burned up. Rockwell refused to replace it and could not tell me the details on the motor or anything, I was forced into buying another one of their saws as the replacement. The saw came in quickly.

So far I am very happy with it.
I've been working with it only for three days but so far I am very happy with it. I looked at Dewalt and Skil and liked aspects of each - like greater portability but this one is really well designed to be moved easily with the legs on one side serving as a handle to wheel it on flat surfaces. And it can be lifted with relative ease. It's portable enough. I really like the way the table size effectively doubles as you fold out the extension to the table that effectively doubles the rigid work surface. The measuring ruler on the table is reliable and produces an accurate guide to the width of ripped wood. And the safety features are excellent. The removable fence and other removable accessories have well thought out storage spots. Overall I feel I have made a great choice and will get many years of good service from this saw.

For the cost, this is a great saw. Love the extensions and its portability. After ripping through a number of 3/4" sheets of plywood I am glad to have chosen this saw.
