Sprays on clear and leaves only the adhered glitter. My daughter used it for a school project and she really liked it. it was a much more uniform application versus when we tried to sprinkle loose glitter on by hand over wet paint.

Like any spray paint, it requires a couple coats. Leaves behind a nice trail of gold glitter wherever you apply.

Can would not spray consistently. Project was almost ruined by having to correct the issues this created. Returned the can without any problems to the store

Decent coverage. You need to make sure you pick an appropriate base coat to match the glitter color. A clear top coat will also help glitter from rubbing off. Just be aware for good results this is a multi step product.

It sprayed for half a second and quit working

It sounds like the nozzle was clogged. Inside each can of Rust-Oleum Specialty Glitter Spray is a dip tube that pulls the paint from the bottom of the can to the tip. If the pigment in the paint is too big or if there's not enough pressure behind it, it can get stuck in the tube or tip and the paint won't spray. Try turning the can upside down and spraying for a few seconds. If the clog is in the tip, soaking it in mineral spirits should clear it out. Make sure you are also shaking the can thoroughly before each use to prevent settling of the glitter.

This is difficult to use. Depending on materials, the glittery is tough to work with. Only use on well sanded materials and plan on multiple layers.

Let's talk about this! For the best coverage, we do recommend applying Rust-Oleum Specialty Glitter Spray Paint over a similar color base coat. Several light coats applied a few minutes apart will also help provide the best appearance and build the coverage.

Used the spray on some pine cones and twigs. It did not cover well. I had to keep spraying and spraying. That said, I'm sure it would be best used over something already painted but to which you wanted to add sparkle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great product. We do a lot of crafts at our house. We used this paint several times for different projects. The glitter was really beautiful and stayed on the surfaces well. I would recommend this brand and product.

Looks great with a solid color underneath. We went with black. Just be sure to have a top clear coat because it will rub off.
