Answer This Question
A: Let's talk about this! Each can of Rust-Oleum Specialty Glitter Spray Paint has a recommended coverage of up to 5 square feet. However, since this is an aerosol product, we do not recommend applying this product to interior walls. Instead, we recommend using Rust-Oleum Specialty Glitter Wall Paint for interior walls.

Q:Can this spray paint be used on fabric lampshade?
by|Sep 18, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: We hate to disappoint, Gigi, but we're unable to recommend the Rust-Oleum Specialty Glitter Spray Paint for a fabric surface. The concern is that the fabric is flexible, and the coating will be too rigid on that type of surface, and could crack. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 1

Q:Could I use this to paint a lamp shade?
by|Jul 9, 2023

Answer This Question
A: Great question, Lynn! While Rust-Oleum Specialty can be applied to multiple different surfaces, it is only intended for hard, non-porous surfaces. It is not meant to withstand the flexibility of fabric, which can cause the paint to crack and peel.

Q:Can I use this paint on the wood framework on kitchen cabinets?

Answer This Question
A: Thanks for reaching out, Lynda. Rust-Oleum Specialty Glitter Spray Paint adds a custom look to craft and hobby projects, apply over a base coat or primer of similar color for best coverage and amplified glitter effect. While Glitter Spray Paint can be applied to wood, spray paint should be applied outdoors or in a well ventilated area, such as an open garage. We do not recommend spray paint be applied indoors.

Q:Can I use this paint on my bbq grill?
by|Feb 24, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: We appreciate your interest, Kristi! Since Rust-Oleum Specialty Glitter is more of a decorative finish, this product is recommended for use on interior surfaces only. This product is also not a high heat finish, and exposure to temperatures above 200 °F will cause the coating to blister and peel. We do not recommend this product for use on the exterior of grills, and at this time we do not have a glitter finish that we can recommend.
