Total junk. Showed up with dents in two corners and the hinge pin was broken. Unlocked the door and it fell off.

Door fell off as I was opening the box. Plastic keepers on two quarter inch pins broke in transit, even though the box was intact. If you are upgrading from a smaller, older 8 gun version, it looks like the holes to rivet the old door piano hinge to the new safe are still in the door jamb of the new one. Cost cutting cut too far; Home Depot, you need to pull this listing until they resolve it, it is not a secure storage option with the new "hinge"

I didn’t expect much for the price, but when I unboxed it and unlocked it the door fell off! Contrary to the answer given by the company rep below, this model does NOT have a piano hinge, but two pins as shown in another review here. The pin is held in place by a plastic sleeve which had broken allowing the pin to fall out. Rather than lug the thing to Home Depot I got a bolt and washer to fasten the top of the door, so now the door stays on and opens and shuts properly. Very shoddy.

First let me say I own multiple of these cabinets. The previous design was secure enough for a second floor and not too heavy. The new design is horrible. There was a dent on it although the box was fine. The door broke as soon as I opened it. Door uses a spring loaded pivot pin similar to kitchen cabinets both broken. Door came right off as I opened it. Internal shelf is no longer metal and now made of plastic. Customer service line only responds with "no one able to answer". Buyer beware.

I'm generally very easy to please and I very rarely write bad reviews. I've bought similar cabinets for less money, but none this poorly made. The door literally feel off when I opened the box. The cabinet uses two pins to hold the door in place vs hinges. Even if Stack-On fixes this, I would not have confidence in this product. These items are supposed to keep dangerous items locked up, and I don't understand how they can market this product in good conscience. Stack-On should really be held liable and HD should be embarrassed to even sell it. Avoid this cabinet at all costs! I will avoid Stack-On products after this unless I visually inspect the item in person.

Super great product for a super great price

This cabinet is for my ammo so I had to put shelves in which I knew I was going to have to do. It is sturdy enough to put brackets and shelves in it. For the money I like it.

Door fell off after opening the box. No instructions on how to fix. Contacted Stack On but got no response. Returned to store.

Despite being damaged during delivery, the gun cabinet was exactly what I needed.

Door was broken and falling off a very cheaply built

The cabinet is fine and was assembled easily enough. But I was displeased to find that the pins that hold the door in the cabinet were held in place by plastic that had broken completely. Luckily, I had bolts of the appropriate size and was able to repair the door myself.

Arrived needing assembly of shelves, which I didn’t expect. Bottom door hinge was broken and we had to repair as returning cabinet meant hauling a 74 lb item out to car and driving an hour to the nearest location to return it. Very disappointed.

It's a good security cabinet. Out of sight out of mind of kids.

Came in damaged and door hinges broke where door fell off. This item is made cheap and not like it used to.

I already have one older cabinet which has a piano hinge and works very well. I bought these GC-14p last week and both shipped had broken hinges. The new ones have very cheap pin hinges and all where broken when received. I will replace them with bolts. Stack-on needs to start using piano hinges again to get high ratings.

Spring hinge pin was broken plastic holder broke. Seems kind of flimsy. Does not seem very sturdy

The cabinet came beat up and dented in places and I had to repair the door hinge myself, as it fell off when I got the key in. It works well enough but if you’re looking for quality- I wouldn’t really recommend.

The safe was delivered without notice and was dented when I opened it a few days later. Poor delivery service. The safe locks ok but it’s appearance is dented..

I've ordered and returned this item multiple times. Stack on doesn't pad the box, so it arrived dented on the corners every time. Tiny foam padding on the top but nothing on sides or corners. Hope Depot has been good about returns. That's the only good thing. It's a stack on problem.

The cabinet was delivered in a timely manner, however, it was damaged, some dents and the pins were broken off the door. I ordered a second one, which was also delivered timely, however, it was damaged as well. I should have listened to the reviews and not ordered it at all. I was able to get the store to send the delivery company back out to pick them up. Ended up purchasing a gun safe from another vendor instead. Definitely don't buy this cabinet!
