The lock is easy to install. However, the instructions for using Home connection on iPhone or Apple Watch is very confusing and not completed. I spend hours trying to scan the code on the lock but it didn't work. I call Schlage customer service but he said it should have other devices in Home like Apple TV or Home pod to make other iphone works. It is helpful but it should be in manual to save time for customer. I ask him about setting for Apple watch. He said he doesn't know and prefer I have to call Apple. I call Apple customer service and they help to setting up the access in second iphone and Apple Watch. It is long and complicated process taking almost an hour. Otherwise, the lock works fine so far

Love this Schlage Wi-Fi deadbolt. Got it from Home Depot about 6 weeks ago. It was very easy to install. Love the keyless entry feature with notice when it is opened and locked with option of automatic locking up to 10 minutes after opening.

Does not function as advertised
Keypad hard to read without first pressing a button to light it up. I wasted 2.5 hours trying to set this lock up and an Apple watch still does not easily open the lock. Apple and Reddit posts helped to learn the Schlage instructions are wrong. Schlage instructs user to press and release the black button on the lock to pair the lock with the Apple HomeKit App. This does not work. Scan the QR code on the last page of the Schlage instructions (not the lock) with phone camera.

This locking system is nice. Everyone has their own codes, features and benefits are super Kool. It doesn't look like much but it's packed with features. We're replacing all of our non smart locks with one on each door.

The lock is what I hoped for. I was able to install it without problems. It works as expected and the color fits with my other locks. This is the third time I have installed one of these locks.This one is the first for my use. I use it for entry from garage. Like that it functions without a key and has the options to have more than one code for entry and the codes can easily be changed by me.

Finish is TERRIBLE
The finish doesn’t hold up. I have six of these and they’re only a year old. The finish is TERRIBLE. These should be under warranty.

Love these smart locks
This is the first smart system weve had in our home and we love it!! My wife and i both have the app on our phones and can lock and unlock the doors from anywhere. You also can set differnet pins for differnet people and the app tells you who has unlocked the door with their pin. The lock is a bit bulky on the inside but not terrible

Handsome upgrade paired with handle from our her local big box store.

Stylish and Secure
This lock was very easy to swap out. I have an identical one on a home I use for short term rentals and love the WiFi access. On this home, I appreciate being keyless and just love how it dressed up my entryway. I bought the matching handle set at another big box store in town to complete the look.
I bought a different brand of keyless locking handles for the back of the house because they have the ability to be re-keyed. Sadly, they do not accept Schlage keys, so I’ll have to keep two keys \M/

Breaking down
I have had this for 60 days and it is rusting or falling apart. I'd like to be contacted by the company to understand if this is typical or if they'd like to replace my lock.
So far the lock works but it's only been 60 days. I want to love this but if the outside is crumbling what's happening inside?

Front Door Lock
Replaced standard lock with key. This lock is fantastic. I wanted a lock that can be controlled electronically, on the lock itself and has a key option. This lock looks and functions perfect.

awesome smart lock but…..
I loved this the first time I installed it. Everything was working perfectly installing was easy but after about 6 months when the batteries were low some how the keypad stopped working… i tried changing the batteries but still not working I emailed costumer service about a week ago and haven’t gotten a response yet….

Risked my life by buying Schlage
After 2 years schlage lock stopped working,months passed replacement sent, had to pay to get installed. New lock didn't work. spent TWO HOURS holding, told to buy new batteries, though I just installed batteries Schlage sent . Schlage said sometimes batteries they send are old . 4 new batteries installed, lock not working.Schlage suggest I dismantle lock, not user friendly was not able to put it back on. HAD TO KEEP DOOR UNLOCKED TILL NEXT DAY BUGS IN SCHLAGE WILL NEVER BUY AGAIN

Home Depot sent me an opened package which was obviously someone else’s return. Not good acceptable for an electronic product. They have refused to fully refund the purchase after I returned it.

Never forget to lock your house again, with Bluetooth, WI-FI, and auto locking features you never have to worry about locking the door. If you're replacing an older deadbolt with this follow the instructions on the website it's a breeze. I didn't give it a 5 star review for the simple fact it's not compatible with mortise lock assemblies.

Lock works great so far, but finish on the brass...
Lock works great so far, but finish on the brass plate had many plating defects (dark spots). I already had it installed so I didn't want to return the whole unit to HD, I tried contacting Schlage to see if I could get a replacement faceplate (non-button side) but they did not respond.

MAJOR Design Flaw - UNUSABLE for Airbnb
Everything about this lock is amazing...but there is 1 flaw that makes it UNUSABLE for Airbnb.
The numbers and icons are almost impossible to see until you touch it. Most people are going to touch the white lines around the 5.
ISSUE: When you touch the screen, the screen lights up but also registers the number you touched.
To open the lock, the user needs to first touch the house icon to so you can see the numbers. However, you cannot see the house icon.
UNUSABLE for Airbnb! Returning.

Easy to install and operate
I installed this Schlage lock on door between the garage and kitchen, so this door and lock is used a lot in my house. The install was easy, taking about 5-7 minutes.
I like that I physically throw (turn) the deadbolt lock so I know it is either locked or unlocked as opposed to pushing a button and letting the lock turn the deadbolt. The combination(s) are easy to program and my other family members much prefer to use this lock than a conventional keyed lock. We are very pleased.

Love it! All the kids have their own codes.
People have been recommending this for a while but I thought it was too much. Now I have three kids in grade school and they forget their keys. This make total sense. All the kids have their own codes and can easily get in the house after school. I can see when they used their code to open the door and they are all happy to have their independence

I’d give it a 5 rating, but I spent a couple of hours trying to set it up online, to realize that They were missing very important information. I was able to find it by googling how to properly set it up, and finally found a video on YouTube, but only after reviewing five others. The instructions included will only guide you all the way to the physical installation, after that is up to you to figure it out. Search YouTube for “Expert tips for Schlage Encode deadbolt install & setup”

Died after a month, Warranty useless
Locksmith Installed BE365 about a month ago. It failed. Battery voltage ok. Troubleshooting performed. It won't lock or unlock with keypad. Email and phone calls to warranty go unanswered. I'll try to take it back to the store under 90-day return policy. What a pain.
