I’m wondering how this safe passed final quality control inspection!!! Very disappointing

I needed an easy to open fire/water resistant safe for documents and handguns. this safe is perfect. Easy and fast to open and has a small light inside. It's programable for the light, opening sounds, and adding my personal combination. Also has a key to lockout keypad combination. Will keep honest people honest and keep firearms out of grand children's hands.

I have the safe for like 6 days today and working good. I’m worried about the keys that comes with it. Those keys don’t open the door at all. In case the key pad malfunctioning or forgot the code , this key should open your safe immediately but in my case I have tried to do that n the keys doesn’t work at all. I hav es no idea what’s going on. I haven’t call the company to find out yet. The safe looks pretty good statically speaking and feel strong and sturdy, My big question is why they made tha safe box handle from plastic? Speaking of quality this is the part that doesn’t match ( PLASTIC HANDLE) Overall the safe looks and feel expensive.

It fits perfectly in my closet and i love the way it looks. I just recently purchased a firearm and it will be perfectly secure within this safe.

Not to heavy, easy to install, easy to set up new code. I really like it.. Perfect space to keep all important paper and other things at home!

This is the second one purchased. The other a couple of years ago. Reading reviews prior to this purchase, I was surprised by some of the issues, especially about being "locked out." I suspect these situation involved a person not realizing the keypad runs off a battery that has to be replaced. READ the manual. We have had zero issues with the first purchase and expect the same with the second. It is a good, reasonable product.

i wish the keypad entry could have the factory password erased but it also makes sense to why it cant. but in the same token if a person cant remember the code they set why would it be any different to have one that is set without there input to remember

Compact, ease of use Good space

Before buying and after looking at pictures, no where did not I see the uselessness of its hinges. The exposed hinge that's only attached with two 2" tabs is inviting trouble. Its like having arrows pointed at it stating "Break into me here". The safe either needs locking bolts on the hinge side or a flush hinge, or maybe at least a full solid hinge. Too much effort went into building this device to skimp on the hinge.

Plenty of space for all those precious documents and more.

This works great, just don't lock your passcode in the safe. Large enough to hold several years of taxes, vehicle titles, passports and home closing info and a pistol.

The handle is very unstable plastic cheesy and weak

Only installed a few days ago - but working out nicely. Easy installation.

First of all this states that it is fire rated and not burglary rated. You are buying 50 pounds of fire retardant powder/foam with a thin metal coating. Anybody with a saw or crowbar can open that thing in less than 5 minutes...2nd of all...it has a motor to move the bolts. Mine lasted around 2-3 years. Then I had to call Sentry. They tell you to use a higher voltage battery ( 9 V ). That works for 1 or 2 attempts. Then you are back to the saw or other power tools. The only chance you have to slow down burglars is to bolt the safe down... but that voids the warranty. So it is useless..

OVERALL: Good features. Solid security and warranty. Looks good, though not a living room piece. Happy with the safe, meets all my needs. FEATURES: Simple to use. Can change the 5 digit security code, and register code with company online. Back-lit keypad a nice touch. WATER: Water proof at 8" for 24 hours probably OK for any use outside a hurricane Sandy basement. WARRANTY: Includes $50,000 fire insurance *as long as you register the product*. A fairly nice benefit if the product fails for any (covered) reason. APPEARANCE: Simple black matte finish body with gray door. Doesn't look fancy, but not an eye sore either sitting in a corner. SECURITY: Solid with six one-inch bolts securing the door. Lag bolts for attaching to wall included. I would make sure to attach to a stud if at all possible. At 140 lb, hard to carry off. INTERIOR: Plastic lined, with plastic slide out drawers. Much like a mini-fridge in appearance. Plenty of space, not much waste.

The first thing to note about this safe is that the battery compartment (4 AAA batteries, not supplied) is easily accessible without first opening the safe. No risk of being locked out if the batteries fail. At 138lbs, this safe is not easily going to be carried away by a thief. Optionally, you can bolt the safe to a fixed surface. Mounting points are on the bottom of the unit only, it cannot be bolted through the back to a wall (this is to ensure the fire protection is not compromised). 6 heavy duty bolts lock the door firmly in place. The door has an exposed hinge on the right, so the door swings left to right. On the back of the door are two compartments for storage, and also 6 hooks for hanging keys or other small items. The main compartment has 2 multi-position trays which can be positioned at one of 16 different heights, making it extremely versatile. The safe is supplied with one 5 digit master code that cannot be changed. You can add your own codes, which must also be exactly 5 digits in length. This safe is extremely heavy duty, and the fit and finish is excellent. Upon locking the safe I feel secure that it will protect my valuables from fire, water, and even the most persistent thief.

I definitely would recommend buying this electronic safe! It can store memory of more than 1 code to unlock, it comes with bolts to bolt to your floor, pretty heavy, I believe it's 100lbs? But anywho, great product, great quality and overall excellent performance! Love it =)

Have had the safe almost a month. We are in and out of it several times per day and we are pleased with the ease of the keypad. We have not bolted this to the floor at this time, so I can't say anything about that process. It is fairly roomie - can easily fit standard files inside.

Product was spot on for my needs and accomplished what I wanted it to do. It was easy to understand the instructions and functioned as desired. It had what I needed without having a lot of features I did not want or require. It was clumsy to handle which is exactly what it is suppose to be to accomplish the purpose of having it.

This safe was perfect for my needs. I would not change anything on it.

Constantly stops working. Solenoid freezes up on a regular basis and it has to be tapped on the outside with a hammer to get it to unfreeze.

Great safe and a lot of room I would recommend it.
