My son in law is a big contractor who reccomended...
My son in law is a big contractor who reccomended using a shark bite as I had issues soldering a 3/4" pipe in wall with a plug . It leaked . I was going to retry soldering it after proper care but I decided to use shark bite plug, it was quick and easy but proper cleaning and cut off square first. However some plumbers won't use them.o

Hello, we are sorry to hear about the issue you experienced with the 3/4 in. SharkBite PVC End Stop. The main reason for failure is not pushing the fitting to the full insertion depth. The insertion depth for a 3/4 in. fitting is 1-1/8 in. We recommend marking this depth on the pipe to ensure the fitting has been pushed to the full depth, creating a seal. I bought one just in case I needed a temporary cap. So glad I did! A week later I was staring up ...
I bought one just in case I needed a temporary cap. So glad I did! A week later I was staring up the sprinkler system at my mountain cabin. Over the winter a pvc fitting had cracked on the last sprinkler on the line. I cut the line and temporarily capped it with the Sharkbite fitting. I was able to run the sprinkler run until I had time to do the repair.
