works good but could be sturdier and heavier. Used them underneath pressured treated posts and I cover the whole thing with vinyl for nicer front porch look. How long will it hold the weight of the roof ? Time will tell.

Warning to first time users: 6X6 is the nominal dimension, And, like dimensional lumber, the actual size I smaller, closer to 5X5.
That said, I like these pieces. I have used them many times. They are strong and stable. Some I have used show no deterioration after 15 years outdoors.

It wasn’t available at the HD store, so I had to order it at HD online. It turned out to not be as sturdy as the one that Lowe’s had IN STOCK at their store. So I returned the HD item.
