surface is below expectations
although the stove top works, the surface is horrible. very hard to clean without leaving smudges and scratches easily

I was looking for a basic stainless steel coil top to replace an ancient Frigidaire 32" unit. This is as close as you'll find a replacement if you are in the same situation (I looked everywhere !) at 29.75". I made 2 trim plates to make up the difference from 2" aluminum angle (from Home Depot !) - cut, drilled / screwed them in, (it's the same dimension front-to-back - no problem there) added the included foam gasket and dropped the top in ! The burners heat up quickly and having individual burner indicators is a nice upgrade

Stovetop finish “so so”, burners get very hot on LOW, overall size - even though listed as 30” - comes up short by 3/4ths of an inch overall. Next time I’ll stick to name brand.

The unit installed easily and works fine. My problem is the SS finish is very fragile and even though we have been cleaning it as recommended with SS polish and a soft cloth, in the month we've owned it we have multiple scratches in the finish. Drives my girlfriend crazy. Wish we'd ordered the black finish.
