it does its job! it’s definitely good for the price. it’s a good option for those with a low budget

The lawnmower was very lightweight and easily assembled. Sound is a little louder than I expected, but is quiet enough that it doesn't bother the neighbors. Works very well and the extension cord is, of course, the most difficult part. I am able to mow with one hand even with carpal tunnel. It's like vacuuming your yard! Love it, great mower!!! Surprisingly powerful, easy to set up and easy to change blade height as well! Definitely recommend this mower to anyone!

This lawn mower is any good. I used this one a couple of times and so I have another junk in my storage shed.

We nicknamed our lawnmower Mean Joe Green, and the little guy lives up to it. My husband was skeptical at first, our lawn was extremely long this past spring, but MJG went through it like a trooper. The grass hasn't gotten that long again, but I have used it when the grass was a bit wet. Great results no matter what. The engine seems more than capable of tackling conditions that you would think would cause it to struggle in. It's lightweight so it's not tiring to push, it's quiet (I always wear headphones, but I don't have to crank up the volume to hear over the motor), I love not fussing with a gas engine... Better for the environment too (always conscious of that living in a larger city). I am really happy with the mower. Also have never ran over the cord (like my mother and husband swear I will do)

At 65 years of age I find less is more. This Sun Joe is easily picked up without strain t my legs and back and maneuvers with ease also. In love it and love that I am contributing to a cleaner environment.

This product is very easy to use and effective. The plastic housing is soft, it sounds like it makes contact with the blade when the front is bumped to something. It tips backward when the grass catcher fills up. I'm amazed at this product despite of how it was shipped, not a good impression for the company. Here are some photos for you to look at.

This cute little mower caught my eye because of the price. It took just a few minutes to assemble with the easy to read direction and diagrams. I plugged it in to an extension cord and wandered to the front of the house, raised the mower to the highest level, because I don't like my grass to burn in the sun. It started up just fine, then stopped. I check the extension cord, nope, nothing. I plugged it into another outlet, it started up, complained and shut down again. My extension cord was only 16 gauge and needed to be 14 gauge or lower for the amperage of this mower, I bought the 14/3 extension and voila, had the lawn done in under 20 minutes! Except for the end of the yard, my extension wasn't long enough! Need 75' to 100'. If this mower only lasts me one season, I have saved money! Well worth the money!

Perfect for maintaining the lawn and smaller jobs. I highly recommended the Sun Joe mower, no need for spilled fuel cans or the smell hauling in the car. Overall very satisfied with my purchase.

I enjoy using the mower. I have .30 of an acre to mow and this mower gets the job done without the stress of gas mow maintenance.

I love my Sun Joe! I have had it approximately 2 months. Easy to assemble, easy to use and dump, great price, quiet. Mows in forward and reverse which allows me to not have to turn around and move my extension cord from side to side. Can mow a 1000 sq ft yard in less than 10 minutes. I read the reviews and it definitely met my high expectations! For an extra $12 I even got the extended 2 year warranty. Super happy and would buy again!

Easy to assemble and plenty of power for tall grass. The mower is the perfect low maintenance solution for smaller lawns. Add the Sun Joe trimmer and forget the gas and oil routine just put them in the corner of the garage and they are ready when you are.

I use it for my small lawn (2000 sq ft). It works very well even with a cord. It is easy to use. No gas or battery is required.

For my small lawn, the Sun Joe 14" lawn mower does an awesome job. Easy to assemble, push, and store. However, if you let your grass grow long, you will have to empty the bag often. My 1,000 sf lawn (see pic) results in 5-8 bags, depending on how long between mows, which in the Spring is every 5-7 days.

Very inexpensive! It lasted a whole season with almost no issues (the thingy holding the handle together broke off on one side. Duct tape was effective). One year later, still trucking. The last time I used it the bar that keeps the flap on the back, that keeps mulch from flying into your face, dislodged itself. Annoying to keep fixing, but all fixes are pretty simple. No catastrophic breaks (so far)!

I love this little mower! Easy to use, easy to store. So glad I bought this little bug looking mower, It saved me from having to hire a gardener as a gas/regular sized mower would have been too much for me to deal with time after time. I couldn't be happier.

The sunjoe was easy to assemble & easy to use, I bought cause I have a small fenced area for my dog its great for small area but not large areas.

I bought this for my front yard as our rider mower is too large to use there. The Sun Joe was fun, easy and lightweight to mow with. My 82 year old Mom saw mine and used it once at her house. She bought one too. Now she said she can get exercise and mow, so now my brother only mows her back yard. I'm calling mine , My little Ninja Turtle!

I bought a 100 ft. 14/3 Outdoor Extension Cord to go with this mower. It worked great even when I had knee-high weed and grass (the yard was half way mowed in the photo). The weight is only 30 lb so I could carry it through fences. The only annoying thing is to dump the bin very frequently, otherwise the cut-grass will blow out from the side.

We sold our home with five acres and a riding mower, and moved to a manufactured home on a small lot. Despite being small, my front and back yard were threatening to go jungle. I live in a rural area, and keeping lawn mowing services proved impossible. After losing two companies, I decided I would mow the front and back lawn myself. When I announced my plan to get an environmentally-friendly electric mower, my spouse was dubious since I have a bad back. She also remembered her father's cumbersome and not-very-effective electric mower from childhood. I showed her a picture. "It's green," I said, as if that explained why Sun Joe MJ401E would be perfect for us. "You will mow over the cord," she countered. As a person who regularly walks into doorknobs, I knew she had a valid point. "I will get a pink cord." She had no response for that, so a few days later, Sun Joe arrived. I put SJ together without any problems. I am 55, lack all but basic mechanical skills, and have never put a mower together. So if I can do it--all y'all can do it, too. Sun Joe and my pink cord immediately tackled the obnoxiously tall yard without a problem. We got the lawn tamed, and have kept it tamed for the last two months. SJ is lightweight and easy to push around. It has made mowing fun and the lawn looks good. Tips: I got the catcher with mine which I HIGHLY recommend. When the catcher starts looking poofy or pregnant, empty it. You'll find it much easier to empty if you don't let it get too full. Also, start at the highest height adjustment to get used to how the SJ feels and maneuvers, and/or if your lawn is lumpy or the grass is long.

I use this mower almost a year and it has much more power in it than what i ever imagined. it has successful mowed the highest lawn i saw in a neglected property i got to manage. people that were laughing at this small electric mower, were amazed how it got trimmed the lot. BUT BE AWARE, this mower need a lot of electricity to stand the mission, use ONLY 12 GAUGE cable. at first i used the 14 gauge cable recommended in the manual, and the result was far from satisfaction, the cable become hot and the mower seem weak. one big con is that it throw the grass behind, at you. if you dont want to use the bag (as i do most of the times), you will be covered with grass and sometime fire ants and other pest. I use the bungee cord to lift the back cover when not using the bag. all in all this mower has proven itself.

This little mower is great for me. I am 74 years old and can easily mow my little yard with this light weight mower. It starts with a push of the button, too.

So the neighbors laughed at me. Well in my mind I felt the chuckles and laughter from my neighbors as I walked out with this lil bad boy leading the charge. After ten minutes of use this lil boy gained the respect of the neighborhood so much that I now call it Hulk. Pros: Delivery was quick, assembly took 15 minutes, light weight- was able to mow the grass with one had with the other held the electric cord. No fumes to inhale, no fussing with messy gas. Just plug and go.

Easy to assemble. Ligth in weight. Low noise. Tough. I hope it lasts a long time. Love it.

I read the reviews before I purchased this tiny electric mower. It's true. Although it's small, it is powerful enough to do small yards. The best part is: no more gas cans, no hard starts. Very easy to assemble. I would highly recommend this mower.

The Sun Joe 14 in. 12 Amp Corded Electric Walk-Behind Lawn Mower was easy to assemble and is perfect for mowing between the ornamental plants in our yard. It is light in weight which makes it perfect for maneuvering on steep inclines and around bushes. The motor runs quietly and and the cutting deck adjusts easily and cuts cleanly. The grass catcher is also easy to remove and empty. My husband and I are in our 70's and bought this mower to use for trimming but find it so easy to use that it has now become our main mower. We have had this machine for two weeks and it is a joy to use. Getting a close cut against the fences is no longer a challenge since the wheels fit close to the cutting body. We are very satisfied with this mower.

Oh my gosh! I love my new mower. I gotta admit, when I received it and my son-in-law assembled the handle he gave me this look like I'd just made a foolish purchase and that I should have bought a gas powered mower, something heavy and powerful. For me though, I think it's perfect for my small lawn. I've usually just used an old fashioned reel mower, but I'd let my grass get too long with all the rain we recently had, and the old manual just wouldn't cut it. My Sun Joe, cut it just fine and it was easy to use, easy to clean and store. I've used it for a couple of months now and never had a problem with it. My friends are jealous and they are buying one. I bought one for my mom for Mother's Day and she likes hers too. I'm currently planning on buying other products from Sun Joe, like the pole saw. I also had a great experience shopping online from Home Depot. The people in customer service are wonderful.
