I normally don’t write a review unless it’s necessary, I bought 5 of this brand window AC , 3 of them are 10,000 btu and two of them 8,000 btu, they are good with cooling the space but they are the loudest AC brand out there, I can’t not sleep with the loud noise they make and unfortunately I will have to purchase another brand that aren’t this loud!!! If the noise bother you , Don’t purchase this brand!!! Sty away

I’m looking at the specifications and they are different than the same AC I just bought. A customer picture the same size AC uses 25% less power in amps and watts for the exact same but’s. Explain that one!!!

This new AC is advertised as the same unit but the dimensions are 19” W x 22” D x 14.5” H compared to my 6 yo one at 23.6” W x 25.6” D x 17.9” H! The old one could not be replaced with the new one so it had to go into window above! Had I seen the correct dimensions on Toshiba’s and Home Depot’s website, I would have bought a model or fit into the wood panel beneath the window! One less window I can open now!

They put absolutely no care in protection when designing the package. The front panel came cracked, the side panel screens are bent up and the hinge for air filter is cracked. Haven't even attempted to turn this thing on. Would add more pictures if I could.

Arrived damaged. No response from customer service. Kept it due to the heat. I’ll have to pay out of pocket for a new plastic cover. On a positive note, the AC itself works fine.

Went to Home Depot where i found the EXACT same unit for $100 more! I was told by customer service that i could make the purchase and pick the unit up in store. 2 hrs later im still standing here having to argue with someone who didnt do their job in the first place to waste all my time to be told i wokld have to come back to get unti.

Works as advertised keeping our bedroom at a comfortable 72 degrees in this heatwave. Controlling it with the phone is awesome.

Haven't bought a new a/c in 15 years. Absolutely love this one. Bought a 200 banger at a discounted store first and took it back and sprung for this. Totally worth it, quiet, you can turn off the digital display so its dark at night.

The issue with the world these days is everyone is wants to pay bottom dollar for top dollar service. This is the cheapest wall unit on the market people. Mine has already ran perfectly fine for over 2 years with 0 maintenance done…… these people complaining of noise and drainage issues should check their wallets first. Nothing worse than a cheapskate who wants quality.

It works great I no complain but today October 2 2022 stop working. I do recommend it it cool the room great. I love it even though is was wearing off I love it.

The Toshiba Brand is still here. The App is easy to use but you do have to know how to follow directions to connect it. It's not Rocket Science but you still have to follow instructions, it won't connect by itself...lol

I loaded 3 different apps on my phone to get the WiFi to work and it will only load to 99% trying to get the WiFi to load. I have been looking in the pictures to see if the fins tilt upward and I can confirm they do. (Pictures submitted.) This keeps the cold air off my feet when in use. My room is 14x15 and 8,000 BTU pushes that air quickly across the room.

tI bought 2 Toshibas and 2 LG ACs in 2020. I overall like the Toshiba better as it has great wifi functionality (I can control them both from app from anywhere) and they have a nice clean look. I'm buying my third one for this year to replace one of the LGs (it is underpowered for the room)

The box says it's Alexa capable and after a bunch of set up with Toshiba website I had what Alexa asked me to do, so I go to add this device, Alexa says it is preparing the skill and then Alexa says it can't install a skill for this device. I mean, I can operate it from my phone with the Toshiba App but it's advertised as being controlled by Alexa. Bummer man.. The A/C seems to work fine and cools my 14x23 ft bedroom really well. I generally leave it on low fan otherwise it'll freeze me out.

Moved to an old building with lots of character, but no central AC. The last thing I wanted was some clunky, piece of junk window unit that only lasted a few months. LOVE this. Alexa turns it on and off and I can change settings from my phone! I bought 2.

Does the job well. My only issue is that the lettering on the control panel rubs off, and my “on” button has disappeared after just 3 weeks of use. I guess that’s their way of making you use their app.

Great unit. I love how it integrates with my phone. It comes with a control, so that is also a plus. However, as much as I like the newer touch models, I think certain buttons should be manual, such as the power button. I haven't really used the AC a lot, but there has been some wear on the button and the print is coming off (not a big deal, but definitely something to note). Other than that, it has been a great AC.

My kitchen and living room would not cool even with my central air so I had it mounted in kitchen window it did the trick my house is very cool and comfortable now

Very simple installation! The only complications I encountered were from my own error, totally unrelated to the product. I would strongly recommend supporting the unit, or yourself, during installation. I was thankful I had installed a support brace prior to mounting the unit into the window.

About a month ago my previous AC died and I really didn't have much time to thoroughly research a replacement, so I ended up down at HD and picked up this Toshiba 8000btu window air conditioner. The old AC was 6500btu and this one is 8000btu and the difference is easily noticeable. The AC is relatively quiet as long as you mount it with some sort of material under it so it dampens vibrations. It would have been nice to save a few bucks if Toshiba sold a version without wifi since i'm not big on IoT devices. My one hangup with this AC is the labels on the front panel. Like i said, i've had this unit for about a month and already the labeling for the power button and half of the filter indicator labeling has vanished. I mean seriously Toshiba... did you guys use an ink jet printer or something? I'm going to be contacting Toshiba after the holiday weekend and i expect them to do the right thing and send me a replacement panel.

I bought it on 6/22/20. From before 3 months the noise of the engine started to go down and up suddenly. Then it would turn off by itself and after a while it would turn on or I would do it manually. I never reported for believing that it was his system of normal function until yesterday that it did not turn on anymore. wow not last long, sad to lose my $.

The unfortunate thing about this AC unit is that it does not properly drain. I seems to have a design flaw. The drain hole is at the highest point of the bottom cover as opposed to the lowest point preventing the unit to properly drain causing the fan to continuously kick up the water all over the unit. Also creating more unwanted noise on the inside of the house. With the extra water submerging the outside coils this also prevents longevity of the unit and corrosion will occur. So on the first unit I tried to drill a hole and broke the Freon line. $$$ The Home Depot only has that unit in stock so tried another one. This time I was able to insert a flexible plastic tube to assist with the drainage, only to get up in the middle of the night and suck on the tube to start the siphoning of the water and man its a lot. This unit was designed not to last so you buy more..
