The unit is small, easy to install and nice looking. I like the wifi ability to turn it on or off remotely. Its a bit noisy but I am not all that familiar with window units and their noise level so it may be quite normal. It has met the need for me. I would definitely purchase again.

The Toshiba window mount 8000 BTU air conditioner is a new generation Eco unit with state of the art controls and integration. A digital display and remote control offer great site command, and the ability to download an app to control the unit from your smart device and Alexa are an added benefit. The unit is rated to cool a 350 sq. ft. space. Preparing the unit for window installation is easy. Two side expandable panels allow it to fit a variety of window widths. It comes with hardware to enable you to lock it into place in your window, securing the unit and also providing added safety. The unit has many features including an eco-mode, which conserves energy while maintaining room temperature. It has multiple modes including auto, cool, fan, and dehumidify. Its energy smart rated and comes with upgraded window panel insulation and foam weather stripping. The unit has a sleep mode, which automatically raises the temperature an hour and two hours after setting, and has a timer mode. The sleek and slim full function remote set the unit on/off, temperature, fan speed, mode, and eco mode. Operation is simply, and the unit is fairly quiet if you lower the fan speed. Setting eco mode turns the fan and compressor on and off. Disabling eco mode keeps the fan running but continues to cycle the compressor on and off. The unit comes with a 1-year warranty.

My old window AC unit got louder every time I used it and then stopped cooling, so it was time (overdue) to replace it. I decided on this unit because it has a very nice, clean design. It has touch buttons rather than old, ugly dials. It also comes with a remote, which comes in handy. That the unit is energy star rated was important to me too, as using a AC is already bad enough for the environment. The unit is fairly silent and cools the bedroom well and quickly. That you can adjust the unit with your smartphone is a feature that I don't plan to use, but it may be nice to have at some point.

This Toshiba window air conditioner was a welcome improvement over the old unit. It was installed just before three- ninety degree days. It is in a large master bedroom and at eight thousand BTU, it cooled very well. This has so many great features. It has a remote, and automatic mode and four speeds, sleep mode and smart wi- fi technology to use with a smart phone or Alexa. The install was pretty standard. The panels on the sides adjust to the width of the window and there is rigid foam insulation board to cut to fit to keep heat from coming through the side panels. Then it was ready to turn on and enjoy. The wide filter is right behind the front panel and is easily washed with soap and water. There is a dirty filter warning to alert when to clean. I am interested to see how dirty it needs to get before the warning is on. This modern unit has a touch control dashboard with a digital readout. It is energy star rated and has ECO mode which is so important to consider these days.

I am really enjoying this air conditioner. I used it to replace a 5000 BTU unit, and it is almost the same size. It is about half an inch taller and a little deeper but the width is the same. It seems to blow much more strongly than the older unit. It is a little noisy, but it would be too much to expect it to quieter and stronger. Instead of a remote control, you have to remotely operate it using a smart phone and there are android and apple apps for this purpose. Getting the phone to find the air conditioner and connecting it to the home wifi system was not a big deal. It is pretty nice you can operate the unit from afar. I also like it tells you what temp it is set at and what the actual temp is. I really like that I am almost doubling the cooling capacity with the same amount of power usage. NICE.

The Toshiba 8000 BTU Window AC is good however its paddle style fan wines a bit and the unit vibrates some. I padded the contact area on the bottom and had to slightly loosen the upper rail screws to obtain the proper fall. The thin but tough padding lessened the vibration. The AC is cold and cycles nicely, still a little loud if for a bedroom Also purchased the Toshiba 10,000 Window AC which is quieter, no vibration and cold. For longevity the unit need a barrier to keep leaves out.

So far so good. It cools the room really well. My only complaint is that it’s pretty loud.

Nice small AC. Cools well. Has an app you can use with it. I love the timer. I set it to come on before I get home from work and the room is cool by the time I get there.

Does not cool the size room advertised. Get a bigger unit.

This AC for rental property, work well.

Loudest AC of all time. Eco mod failed horrifically at holding temperature. It would be 78 in the apartment, while set to 71. It wouldn't turn on and cool without cycling power every few hours to evidently "wake it up" from whatever cyber slumber its below average IQ brain was participating in. Returned for an LG that outperformed this AC in every regard.

Unit is not cooling so good, we can not get less than 74, and also there is to much noisy, we can not sleep
