Cupping issue
Had high expectations for this material but it showed up cupped. Had to send it back. It should be noted
that this material is only capped on 3 sides which might have caused this to happen. This was not an installation issue
It was defective. I attempted to flatten it during installation but it wouldn't budge. I would stay away from this
material and use a decking that is capped all around

Trex Select color of "saddle" did not match the same...
Trex Select color of "saddle" did not match the same material I purchased a few years ago - the new color is much darker. Note: I compared the new Trex decking to some left-over pieces that have been in my basement - so not exposed to sunlight.

Saddle is the only color in which we offer in two different lines of our decking and will look different due to the grain pattern and finish of the shell varying between the two lines. Winchester grey is blue
My Winchester grey just showed up. It’s aweful. It’s blue. It looks nothing like the charcoal color on Home Depot or Trex’s website. Buyer beware; trex charges a 25% restocking fee to return.

Just had a little trouble loading the product into a 20’ box truck, but other that, I am very pleased with the decking. Installation is time consuming but simple. It looks great!

Good quality.
This is a good product. Straight forward to install if you follow the instructions and properly prepare the supporting framework. Don’t buy cheap screws etc. use what they recommend. No scratching issue for us. It’s not cheap, but worth it. This applies to the decking itself. In our case we used Select Saddle.

Scratching after only 1 month with no furniture on it
Wow, I heard all these great things about Trex so we decided to use it for the floor on our new deck. After only 1 month there are numerous scratches on the flooring, even in spots where we don't have any furniture. Contacting Trex basically I was told this is normal wear and tear and not covered. If this is what happened after only 1 month I can only imagine what it will look like a year late. Stay far away from the Trex Select
