Easily chips or breaks edges, scuffs easily.

It’s melamine. Decent quality but not my choice for shelves. Bought for customer.

It's a shelf in the garage. Had no choice for this product, all that was available for the size needed. Good solid board but way too expensive!

This was way better then I thought, material strength is similar to wood. We created a floating table

We are remodeling some bedroom that had painted pressboard shelves. Rather than repaint the shelves and have to wait an extended period of time to use them we replaced them with these Melamine shelving. I covered the cut lines with tape before cutting and they easily cut to the proper lengths.

Definitely what I was looking for. Have to ensure that the person cutting the board knows what they’re doing. Mine was cut to size perfectly but the white exposed border was cut off. I didn’t realize until I got home and was ready to install the shelf. Luckily, it’s not visible. It’s inside a closet.

The MDF veneer glued to the particle board and melamine glued to it makes for a nice surface but edges still tend to chip.

Edge banding is pretty sloppy. Melamine seems very thin.

I am happy with the purchase

In comparison to other melamine boards? I don't know, probably good. But this material to work with in general is frustrating. The finish chips off so easily with cutting or moving around, setting the board on its edge, etc. With cutting, it's extremely difficult to get a clean edge without lots of chipouts. I have the edge banding to finish the sides, but there will still be lots of ugly chipped parts

I didn’t like the sharp 90 degree corners

The melamine covering was great, but the back of the particle board did have a split running along the edge. This did not effect the structural integrity nor the physical appearance of the board when it was turned into a shelf.

Great material for shelves.
