The most common reason a lawn does not respond to fertilizer is soil pH. Soil pH must be in-between 5.5-7.5 for fertilizer to be absorbed by the grass. You may wish to perform a soil pH test. Thatch over 1/2" thick prevents the nutrients from getting to the plant roots. Grass may possibly be under stress from disease or insect activity.

It states that results of a greener lawn in 72 hours but even with ,5 straight days of rain I have not seen any improvement.

Takes 3 to 4 days to take effect. Brings out the green in the lawn. I thought I would try scotts, but that was a disappointment. I switched back for the next feeding and it brought the lawn right back.

Put down the regular fertilizer because it was in early summer and the temps were heating up. It worked nicely on my St. Augustine lawn. My Scott drop speader malfunctioned and put down twice as much fertilizer than I had intended. I did heavy watering afterward to help avoid any burning. Lawn greened up very nicely after a few days. I'll be putting on the Vigoro with weed eliminator down in the fall.

I have used this product before and it worked on greening up my lawn, however, this time it did not do anything. I guess it doesn’t work in hot weather.

It was not too bad but I had to use whole milk with some sugar. My dog didn’t care for it. Like I said, it was ok but I’ll stick with my Special K.
