Works well for smoking but temperature beings low, fluid in cup doesn't change level much.

I love that this is stainless steel and washes well in the dishwasher. First time roasting a beer can chicken came out great! I’ll be using this over and over.

I bought the Weber Gourmet grill for my boat dock. I hoped to be able to use it for more diversity in foods than my home BBQ that we used for lunch or dinners...typical BBQ grill work. The skillet that came with it became a hit for eggs and pancakes....much more. Then I added this and went for a "beer can" Chicken with veggies as on the box. Chicken was the most tender and juicy ever. Gotta try it!!!! One major tip...start the bird about 30 minutes before anything else though. Give it time to cook...as you add veggies and have to open often to turn and manage small stuff you loose too much heat for the bird. Second round I got the timing down and everyone was hailing the BBQ master's work :) Thanks Weber for making very cool BBQing possible out of a box.

The roaster cleans easily. It is easy to use. I need to master the turning and cooking of the chicken, but it was tasty and moist and fun to do!

This roasting basket is a great option to go with your grill. Since the center cup attachment is removable, you can take it out and use the entire basket for vegetables or leave it in and cook just chicken or chicken and vegetables. You can fit a pretty good amount of vegetables in the basket around the chicken, I'd say at least enough for 4 people. For the chicken, I used a dry rub on the outside and put beer in the center can and cooked it for about an hour & 15 minutes at 350 degrees & it turned out perfectly - some of the best chicken I've ever eaten. With about 15 minutes to go on the chicken, I added mushrooms and green beans (both brushed with Worcestershire sauce and olive oil) to the basket & that was the right amount of time to get everything done all the way through. The mushrooms were exceptionally good - the grill really brought out their flavor. If you're a grilling enthusiast, this is definitely a tool you want in your arsenal! Just be sure you have a meat thermometer on hand to check that your chicken is done & you'll be good to go! I'm already looking forward to experimenting with other marinades and seasoning!

Looks better in the book or ad, tried to cook beer can chicken, with potatoes, onions, n peppers in the tray didn't turn out as advertised

I was quite pleased with the roaster. It held the chicken well. I did not add vegetables to the pan. The chicken turned out well. I used a remote meat thermometer and removed the chicken from the grill when it reached 165 F. The chicken was delicious. I used hickory wood chips and barbeque sauce for flavor.

Haven't had a chance to use it yet but looks like a real quality item.

This product, was purchase as a gift to someone else.

Cleanup was a breeze. Thought it would be difficult, but a little soak and everything scrubbed right off!!!

Perfect roaster for beer can chicken without the aluminum can. Never have to worry about the chicken falling over and simple to remove from grill without a mess.

Gives a whole new meaning to beer can chicken. Veggies cook right along with chicken the flavor is epic.

Have cooked poultry this way for a long time with several versions of this design, but this one is the best. Really like the versatility of removable cup to use as a large pan. Of course, fitting in the grate of my new grill is pretty special as well.

This is perfect and plenty of room for vegetables.

It’s the perfect size for roasting any size chicken. Holds just enough vegetables for two people.

Just set it and forget it. ( 1hr 1/4 for my chicken)

I've used the poultry roaster twice now in the last couple of weeks and both times the chicken came out perfectly. I don't have the special lay in griddle on my Weber, I just set it on top of a pan I use only for such purposes on the BBQ. So it drains into the pan and mostly evaporates. I set it to the side with the burner underneath turned off, the other two burners at medium, cooking it at about 425 for nearly an hour before turning it around to perfectly brown the other side for about 15 minutes. I start it with the back to the hot side. I coat the chicken in only soy sauce or tamari and garlic granules and it turns out moist and yummy.

JMJ. Sent out pictures of my Golden Brown roasted Chicken. 5lb. legs fallen off juiciest white breast meat you tasted. I used Fruit juice. Requests to borrow and try it out on their Weber’s. Having fun.

I have tried to produce "Beer Butt Chicken" for years and never with any great success. The poultry roaster finally solved all my problems! Pour your selected liquid (beer, Coca-Cola, Root Beer, etc.) into the center cylinder, slip the bird down over the cylinder, position legs as props and place it on the grill, watch your fire and heat level and it will do its thing very well! I am very pleased with my purchase.

Well worth the few extra bucks. Will last a good, long time.
