After only 4 loads of wash the machine would not finish the spin cycle. It left a tub of water that would not drain, making a humming noise. A new washer should not brake down so soon. I requisted a refund.

The set does not have a buzzer to let you know the washer or dryer has finished the cycle. The unit is lighter and not as robust as my previous washer/dryer combo. I feel it was high priced for the quality received.

The dryer stopped working after one load - installation check a week later is was determined to be defective. because we didn't report within 48 hours of receipt it was not a Home Depot issue and a replacement would take over a month because it was now out of stock. So I bought and GE and will return the Whirlpool for a refund. extremely disappointed.

Seeing this unit on the display floor in the store really doesn’t do it justice. Both the washer basket and the dryer basket have a much larger capacity than I could conceive, yet it’s perfect for small spaces. Another surprise was how easy the in-home hookup went and how much space I saved switching over to a stacked unit as opposed to a conventional washer and dryer. I do find that clearing out the washer drum of wet clothes is a bit awkward since the lid swings open only about 75-80 degrees, but it’s so much better than the alternative of having to use a step stool and dive in to clear out a typical heavy duty washer. After two weeks of laundering my family’s clothes and linens, at a rate of 2-3 loads per day, I am so pleased with my purchase. My wash comes out clean and fully dry. I highly recommend this compact laundry center for anyone who is single or manages a smaller household, especially if you want a hideaway unit or if your home/apartment is limited on space.

I really like this set. It is attractive, sturdy and easy to use. Almost all my appliances are Whirlpool. I am very happy with their products.

top controls are to high for a short person. washer & dryer work well.

This set is perfect for us empty-nesters. It has a larger capacity than most all-in-one sets so i dont feel like im constantly doing laundry. Both washer and dryer are super quiet as well. My only complaint is i wish the dryer had a buzzer when it cuts off, but it is not a deal breaker for me.

Great unit, all the features I need and small enough for a closet-sized area near the water heater so it's out of the way. Also surprisingly quiet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After 5 weeks of use the washer lid lock sensor crapped out on me which disrupts the cycles from moving on, so had to get that replaced. Beyond that, it works OK for what I need it for but the dryer setting of "normal" that I mostly use only has a more dry or a less dry setting, with a dial that is hard to be exact with. The more dry seems to overdry and if you don't hit the less dry just right your clothes will still be damp. I try to hit it somewhere in the middle of the two but the dial doesn't click to different settings so it is hard to be precise. I also wish the dryer door latch was easier as you basically have to slam the door to get it to close.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to replace my Whirlpool Stacked Unit that i purchased in 1993, which I absolutely loved, mainly because of a lack of parts. I knew I would replace it with another Whirlpool but in reading reviews, I knew I wouldn’t be getting an improved model. On the plus side, it has some nice features such as auto water level and bulky and light wash loads. I also like that I can open the washer to add something if I need to, which I was looking for. I also like that it is a Whirlpool and a stacked unit. I’m not a fan of the location of the control panel, which is oddly placed along the very top of the unit. Kind of annoying when you’re 5’ 3”. The two things I really don’t like are the dryer door is incredibly hard to open yet feels cheap and tinny. The washer is also very loud, which I knew when I purchased it, but I can live with that. It also doesn’t seem to dry all that great - it didn’t from day one. As I said, I thoroughly read reviews and knew what to expect. I would still have purchased the unit, but I can only give the it 3 stars.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the unit for 2 months to date. I can say that I am happy with the machine and it's performance. This unit is an energy efficient product and uses minimum water and washes by weight (Hint: To get added water use the Bulk setting). The tub is very deep and can wash a good amount of laundry, but no comforters. I've washed pillows in it perfectly, it's self adjusting to keep balanced so there is no loud banging that occurs when you wash something that has uneven weight. As far as the loud dryer noise complaints I would have to disagree it has a standard noise level of a dryer. It also dries quickly and each setting is perfect for the fabric setting select. Overall if your looking for a simple stacked unit I would go with this one.

I paid for installation and had to run my own dryer vent.

I was very disappointed with the Home Depot installation process. The installers came to install the washer and dryer but could speak very little english. They did not complete the installation as it needed some minor modifications to the space in order to move the w/d in to it.

Very professional - my stacked washer/dryer was handled with great care - THANK YOU!!!!!

3 weeks later and the applicance still isn’t operational. Delivery & installation was paid for but delivery service didn’t have the correct hose. 3 weeks and still not installed. NO service at all from the store after making several calls & long long hold times to have no one answer. Very disappointed with HomeDepot.
