Please be aware this machine is extremely loud. I tried my best to work with it but I could not sleep with the loud noise. Does cool the room within minutes of it being on which is great but it’s also a lot of upkeep with having to drain it.

Quiet
Out of all the portable rolling ACs I’ve owned they always had access window kit panels. This one didn’t and I paid the most for it. Had to buy more on Amazon… otherwise it’s quiet and I like that for my living room.

I love the air conditioner, but the delivery people left...
I love the air conditioner, but the delivery people left it on the walk to my house. I had to muscle it muscle it up the steps to my porch and into the house. I live alone. I am old. Surely they could have done better than that!

Life saver
Who’d ever believe I’d NEED an air conditioner in San Francisco!? Well after a few years of temperatures from 80’s to high 90’s for many, many days it was a no brainer to get an air conditioner. After much research I chose this one and couldn’t be happier. It’s incredibly efficient and cools my large room I use it in so fast, and my energy bill hardly rose at all because I wasn’t using my box fan 24/7 and my forced air thermostat cooling anymore. Easy to use and I highly recommend it !!

Rotary Compressor makes it quiet
Having been using a portable AC in our bedroom of lower BTU's, never enjoyed just how loud it was at <56 DB. Seeing this AC rated at <52, plus being 1,000 BTU's more and a higher efficiency, bought this AC. Turning it on was very happy to hear just how quiet it is!
We have small slender windows in the bedroom so a window AC was not going to work for it we could have installed a window unit would have. This unit allows us to turn off the central AC at night.

The wörst
I bought this in the summer of 2021 & all I can say is "UGH". The worst. To be fair, it COULD be too small for my space or it COULD be that we have vaulted ceilings. I'm willing to come to the middle on that. But WHY is it not even cool when I'm blasting it in my face? WHY do the arms of it not stay in the window no matter how hard I try? I lost 20 lbs sweating this summer bc we didn't bother to take it out. WASTE of $ we don't have.

Leaked and flooded house
I purchased this AC and let it run continuously. It worked fine for just under 2 months, then flooded and ruined a section of my hardwood floors. The manual says "When there is excess water condensation inside the unit, the air conditioner stops running and shows a warning light" but this did not happen - I came home one day to it still running with a large puddle beneath it.

Compact, lightweight yet delivers great cooling; it's not that humid in CA so there was surprisingly little water to release after weeks of using the A/C. Adjusting and cutting the panel to fit into a window was a piece of cake. Good value for the money.

Worked great for a couple of months : (
I was impressed with this unit at first. I bought it in May 2022 and it's now September 2022 and it no longer works. It will not produce any cold air and gets very loud and makes sharp clunking noises. I'm so disappointed given that the unit was not cheap for me and I live in the Bay Area and we are now in the middle of a terrible heat wave. The warranty says I have to pay to ship it to the company and it must be shipped in the original box-which I don't have. Sweltering and unhappy in SF.

only good for 2 Minutes of cold air, then rest of the time its hot air
It only blows cold air for 2 minutes then it blows hot air for 20 minutes then cold air for 2 minutes again, not good i returned after a week of using it.

All good except the temperature sensor
I think it runs quietly for its capacity, particularly on low fan speed. Working great for me so far.
The only complaint against it is that it seems to be influenced too much by outside temperatures.
It heats up inside my place quicker than outside, so in late mornings, I have to set the controls down 2 degrees to get it started,
then can return it to normal later in the day.
I think it makes sense to put more space between the intake and exhaust vents than the mounting plate provides for.

Fixtures come with covers that are impossible to remove.

Died in 1 year. Not covered by warranty
Conveniently died after 1 year (3 months of use). Warranty only covers 1 year so I missed repair by 2 weeks. Whynter failed QC is going into the dumpster.
DO NOT RECOMMEND!
