So far good it moves air good. I put in a 30x30 shop

Using this 18 inch fan to move the hot air from my garage through the roof with modifications. Air vent is 24 inches with a 12 inch collar. Makes a lot of noise but works good. Now I will see how long it lasts using it for short usage to remove car exhaust or deep fryer smells.

This 1/2 hp motor is pretty heavy. It is attached to the wire fan shroud and supported only on the bottom by one 10" brace also attached to the shroud. It must be installed in a very stiff housing. However, this does not prevent the motor itself from vibrating badly, shaking the shroud and describing a 1" vibration arc at the back. After adding a metal strapping "V" support to the bottom of the fan and screwing this into the wall, the vibrations were reduced to an acceptable level.

USED THIS IN A GARAGE AS A VENT. IT MOUNTED IN THE WALL AND DID THE TRICK! CIRCULATES ALOT OF AIR THROUGH THE GARAGE.

What I needed and does a great job

Bought this fan to go in my barn -- 35 x 70 x 26 feet tall -- 3 big doors and a few windows . it moves a lot of air -- yes you can tell when it is on just from the air movement -- the only problem is that is not the only reason you can tell when it is on --- it is really loud -- you can hear it 250 feed away from the barn -- it is noisy very noisy -- it a combination of the motor speed and the blade type -- a slower motor and bigger blades would really quite it down -- but slower motors and big blades cost more -- so there you go -- still running 4 years later still noisy

The fan works great. It moves a lot of air and keeps attic cool. It was easy to install.

I have two of these fans securely mounted in the large attic storage area over my workshop. They are 2x4 double framed mounted with the frame bolted and glued in place. Both fans are vibrating so badly that I feel they will tear apart their mounting frame or destroy the fan blade shaft bearings. Getting them lifted and put in place was not easy. I can only guess that the fan blades are terribly out of balance so I guess my next move is to dismantle the fan and see if I can balance the fan blades before they set themselves on fire.

We put this in my husbands shop and it works awesome. we put a temperature control on it so it turns on at a certain temperature and its awesome

I searched on Home Depot Website for an explosion proof exhaust fan. This came up so I purchased it. After further research, nowhere in the item description or spec sheet did it mention this exhaust fan was explosion proof. I didn't even use it. I turned it back to Home Depot. Home Depot needs to update their search algorithm so it doesn't waste customers time when they need a specific product.

This fan/vent works excellent! Displaces the hot/humid air very effectively in my standard size one car garage, no matter the day’s temperature extremes. Recommended!!

Motor gets so hot you can’t touch it unless in 30 minute to use. I may be sending this back for something different.

Louvers could close a little tighter but this fan moves a lot of air without a lot of noise.

It is verey good now no mor heat in the comprassor room
