Impervious and frost resistant, this tile is great for indoor and outdoor settings, including backsplashes, showers and heavy-duty floors. If pairing with other products in the Metro Subway series, please consider that all formats and thicknesses may not be the same.

- C.O.F. greater than .50 is recommended for standard residential applications and is marginally skid resistant
- Completely frost resistant for indoor or outdoor applications; use a latex-modified thinset for acceptable bond strength
- WARNING: Silica dust is harmful if inhaled. Exposure to silica dust from cutting, grinding, or polishing can cause acute lung injury, silicosis or cancer. Wear a respirator when cutting, grinding, or polishing. Use wet cutting methods and do not dry cut. Children should not be present during cutting, grinding or polishing.
- All ceramic/porcelain and natural stone tile within coordinating series may be produced at different times which can cause variation in dye lot (color) and caliber (size) which is authentic to tile
- Don't forget your coordinating trim pieces, grout, backerboard, thinset and installation tools

what type of saw is needed to cut these - I'll need to cut edge to align against a wall
Hi SadieBean, Our Metro Subway Glossy White is set on a fabric mesh that can be cut easily to work for your installation needs. If you need to cut the mosaic chips, we would recommend using a wet saw with a diamond-tipped blade. We always recommend the use of a wet saw as it offers the best cut with the least chance of breakage. After you finish cutting the tiles, you might want to sand the edges to smooth them down as they have the potential to be very sharp. I used a wet tile saw, diamond blade. It worked reasonably well, but I will say it was very tedious. The mesh backing doesn't hold the tiles securely enough to just feed a sheet into the blade. You basically cut each tile individually, and it's really difficult to cut accurately and consistently. Also the grouting process was much more difficult than I expected. Lots of tiles to grout, and it takes a lot of muscle to work the grout into every little space. Overall I love the end result, but I usually love the process of improvement projects and I didn't love doing this one.
Recommend a regular tile saw.
Should you use sanded or non sanded grout with this tile?
Typically wall tile you’ll use unsanded and floors you’ll use sanded.
We used sanded grout.
I used non sanded since it was installed as backsplash on wall
Hi Kitchenremodel101, The location of your installation will help dictate what type of grout you should use. Our Metro Subway Glossy White should have 1/8” grout joints, and the space between each mosaic piece should be approximately 1/8” as well. When grout joints are going to be 1/8”, we encourage using unsanded grout on the wall and sanded grout on the floor. If you do use sanded grout, we encourage you to be gentle with the surface of the tile so it does not scratch the finish. Home Depot always recommends Custom Building Products installation materials. Always use non-sanded grout with glossy tile. Sanded grout will scratch when you clean and polish off the excess. Good luck!
What is the size of each individual tile on the 12x12 backing?

What is the thickness of this tile?
These fall between 3/16” and 1/4” thick.
I can not give you a measured answer because I put it the my rental and have not seen it sense but it is thin, thinner than the one piece subways. You can not use a big grooved trowel because it will bleed into the all groves and is tough to clean out for good grout lines
