I found a ceiling tin tile I like. The area is 5' x 5' in the bathroom # 1 and in bathroom #2 also 5' x 5' How many tiles do I need?
A 2x2 tile is 4 sq. ft, so for a room that is 25 sq. ft. you would need 7 tiles. That makes 14 tiles for two same sized rooms.

The diameter of the inside of the round design is 6-1/4 inches, while the diameter outside the design is 8-1/8 inches. Make sure to use a mounting bracket for the canned (or puck) light as this tile will not be able to hold up the weight of any light.

Can these tiles be painted
You can paint these, but since they are PVC you will need the correct sort of paint that will stick to PVC. Otherwise, the paint will dry only on the surface and then flake off. Also painting it will void both the warranty and the Class A fire-rating.

Any standard 15/16" grid system will work with these tiles as long as they are fitted for the 2x2 size. Home Depot offers both a suspended and a surface mount version that will work perfectly.
