Father’s Day is almost here, and I thought this would be a perfect time to give our back porch a mini makeover! I wanted to surprise my husband, Kolter with a space that is both cozy and relaxing. The Home Depot had everything I needed to bring my vision to life.
I first started by finding this new Wooden Finish Hardtop Metal Gazebo that I fell in love with. It’s beautiful and very large in size, and the perfect addition to our back porch!
Next, I wanted a new patio set. I found the Style Well Park Point Wicker Set and I knew it would really bring the patio together. I love the coastal vibes of the wicker and light blue cushions. Plus, it’s so comfortable!
So next, I was on the hunt for a rug. Of course, since I got new patio furniture, I wanted to add a cute rug to pull everything together! You know, If you give a mouse a cookie… Anyway, I browsed the selection of outdoor rugs at The Home Depot and found the perfect one. I loved the herringbone pattern and the mixed shades of brown and cream on the nuLOOM Contemporary Herringbone Indoor/Outdoor Area Rug. Perfect for outdoor use!
Before I could be done with this space, I knew we had to have some string lights. Every outdoor space needs string lights, right?! I found these Brightech Outdoor LED String Lights and they are the best! My kids are even obsessed with them. They come with so many options to change based on the vibe you’re going for. There’s Warm light, cool light, and even rainbow options! Of course, my kids loved the colorful options.
To finish off the space, we added some live plants! I got 2 Whiskey Barrel Planters and added some green plants. My husband is a plant fanatic, so I knew he would love all the new plants.
We also teamed up on a DIY. We built some DIY planter boxes together! We bought the lumber at Home Depot along with some new tools for Father’s Day. These planter boxes were so simple to make and only took about 30 minutes. I am obsessed with how they turned out.
We fell in love with this space and my husband was so excited to have some new tools. The Home Depot had everything we needed to create the patio of our dreams and a Father’s Day to remember!
