Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

What's part of The Home Depot Garage Storage Sale?

Garage Storage Savings are here, so it's time to get shopping. From garage bundles to workbenches, we've got bargains on what you want for a clean and neatly arranged garage. Shop the sales in-store or online from June 22nd through August 18th, 2026, and make this the year you finally organize the basement and the garage.

What college dorm essentials should I get?

Come see us for your dorm essentials. Use storage containers or moving boxes to transport your belongings, and be ready for residual dirt with cleaning supplies and disinfecting wipes. Bring a tub of spackle to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang wall art and string lights. Make the room your own with area rugs and wall decals. Extension cords and power strips let you place lamps, microwaves, and mini refrigerators where you need them. If you didn't get a new bookbag yet, we've got those, too.

What home repairs should I make before summer storms hit?

Be confident your home is ready for summertime temperatures by replacing or repairing faulty parts of your hardscaping. If moisture gets in the cracks, you could be dealing with mold. Check brick and cinder blocks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces. On your house's exterior, examine roof shingles or metal roofing for damage or rust that might let water come in. Keep gutters fully functional to prevent excess water from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be swapped out if they're badly weathered.

Do you carry moving boxes?

Pick up a mix of moving boxes to make storage and moving easier. We've got the sizes you're looking for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Look into our moving truck rentals, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.

Why should I get a generator?

Restore power in your home even after severe weather takes it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making less noise when they create less power. When exploring different generators, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outside, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.

Do you have doorbell cameras?

Enjoy peace of mind, privacy, and safety with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a nearby window when you can watch animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you speak to whoever is at the door via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off wannabe porch pirates. Many cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you flexible and easy accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as it suits you.

What's the project at the Home Depot Kids Workshop this month?

Head to our Kids Workshop on August 1, 2026, from 9–noon or while supplies last. It's time to assemble a wooden rocket game! Your little builder can put together their very own rocket game craft — like the real thing but kid-sized. Remember to enjoy the fruits of your labor and leave some time to play with others!

If not in stock, I'll make it myself.
I went to HD to purchase a 2"X2" PVC Outside Corner for my Sprinkler Pump House, I just built. Could not find what I wanted. Purchased a 4X4-39" Vinyl Post Jacket (for about 1/3 the price). Measured and blue taped it up, cut it on my Table Saw. Perfect, Beautiful, just what I wanted.

        Rude and dishonest
I purchased paint and other materials. I asked the associate to shake the paint and was given attitude about shaking paint that wasn't tinted. When I got back to the job site, I discovered that white paint had been tinted pink. When I tried to return it, same day, and explained there had been a mistake they denied responsibility and refused to refund my money because paint was tinted.

          Great employees eager to help
I had at least 6 employees offer to help me or if I was finding everything ok. All were super friendly. I went on July 4 and there wasn't many customers and employees were offering help at every turn I took in store. Great look for company.

              Friendliest Home Improvement Store
Amazing experience when entering the Daytona Beach Home Depot! An associate approached me and asked me what I was looking for and guided me, saving tons of time searching. Also, asked about Ryobi batteries and she was quick to tell me about a great sale. The other improvement store, they go out of there way to run away from you. Refreshing experience at HD! A+++

Beachside shopper can't find 316 screws
It seems like a store located so close to the ocean with many beachside shoppers would carry a strong array of fastners that resist rust. Particularly 316 Stainless Steel screws. I was looking for #10 3 1/2 inch flat head. I found some #8 3 inch,,, but not #10 3 1/2 inch.
