What do I need for my dorm?
Come see us for your college dorm essentials. Get storage containers or moving boxes to transport your belongings, and be ready for residual dirt with cleaning wipes and other cleaning products. Make the room your own with area rugs and wall decals. Bring a tub of spackle to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang wall art and string lights. Power strips and extension cords let you place table lamps, microwaves, and mini refrigerators where you need them. If you didn't get a new bookbag yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head back to college with useful products from your Prescott Valley Home Depot.
What do I do to prepare my home for scorching summer temps?
Be confident your home is ready for summertime temperatures by replacing faulty components of your hardscaping and home. If moisture gets inside the crevices, you might be dealing with mold. Check bricks and cinder blocks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. On your home's exterior, inspect shingles or metal roofing for damage that could let water leak in. Keep gutters fully functional to prevent excess water from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be changed out if they're badly weathered.
Do you have specialty moving boxes?
Pick up a mix of moving boxes to make your move easier. We've got the sizes you want, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Look into our rental moving trucks, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.
Is it good to have a generator at home?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with hurricanes, tornados, blizzards, severe thunderstorms, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity when the elements take it out. When browsing generators for sale, don't forget that inverter generators cost more than portable generators, but they're also quieter and cleaner. Always run your generators outside, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.
Why should I get a doorbell camera?
Enjoy peace of mind, privacy, and safety with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a peephole when you can watch animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you chat remotely via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off would-be porch pirates. Many cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as it suits you.
What will the next free Kids Workshop be?
Head to the Kids Workshop on August 1st, from 9–12 noon or while supplies last. It's time to put together a pint-sized rocket game! Your little builder can assemble their very own rocket game craft — like a real rocketship but kid-sized. The best part is imagining your rocket blasting off into space, so join your new friends to launch a fleet of rocketships!
