How can I prepare my home for summer temperatures?
Be confident your home is ready for summer temps by replacing or repairing faulty parts of your home and hardscaping. Check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage. If moisture gets in the crevices, you might be dealing with damage. On your house's exterior, inspect roof shingles or metal roofing for damage that may let water in. Keep gutters clear of debris to prevent excess water from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be changed out if they're in poor condition.
What types of moving boxes do you have?
Make storage or moving easier by picking up a mix of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you want, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Remember to check out our rental moving trucks if you need those as well.
Do I need a generator?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for whatever circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with severe thunderstorms or hurricanes, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity after the elements take it out. When exploring different generators for sale, keep in mind that inverter generators are more expensive than portable generators, but they're also quieter and cleaner. For safety purposes, always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors.
Do you have doorbell cameras?
Enjoy privacy, peace of mind, and safety with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a peephole when you can view human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you speak to whoever is at the door via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off would-be porch pirates. Several cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you flexible accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as it suits you.
What's the project for the free Kids Workshop in July?
Head to our Kids Workshop on 7/4/26, from 9–noon or while supplies last. It's time to assemble a wooden go-kart! Your little builder can put together their very own go-kart craft — like the racetrack version but kid-sized. Remember to leave some time to race your new go-kart toy with others!
