Be confident your home is equipped for cooler fall weather by repairing faulty parts of your home and hardscaping. On the exterior of your home, examine roof shingles or metal roofing for damage that could let water come in. Keep gutters clear of debris to prevent excess water from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Chimney caps and vinyl siding should be changed out if they're badly weathered. Also, check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. If water gets inside the cracks, you might be looking at a problem.

Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for whatever circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with tornados, hurricanes, severe thunderstorms, or blizzards, a portable generator lets you enjoy power when the elements take it out. When exploring different generators for sale, keep in mind that inverter generators cost more than portable generators, but they're also quieter and cleaner. For safety purposes, always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows.

Enjoy safety, peace of mind, and privacy with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a window when you can view human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off would-be porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Several cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed.

Stop by the Kids Workshop to encourage future craftspeople and builders! Introduce your children to the joys of building with this wooden dump truck. This cute kids' project is happening on November 7th, from 9–12 noon or while supplies last.
