What do I need for a blizzard?
Ensure you have drinking water, canned food and can openers, a weather radio, flashlights and flashlight batteries, Rx medications, and buckets. Prepare plumbing with outdoor faucet covers and pipe insulation. Rock salt or ice melt, a snow blower and a snow shovel, insulated winter gloves and a snow sled help you deal with the hazards and enjoy the snowfall.
Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with severe thunderstorms or hurricanes, a portable generator lets you enjoy power after the elements take it out. When exploring different generators for sale, remember that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.
What are the benefits of doorbell cameras?
Enjoy safety, peace of mind, and privacy with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. No more peeking through an adjacent window when you can see human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you chat remotely via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off would-be porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Many cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed.
