What is Express Delivery, and is my store eligible?
Select products arrive lightning-fast with Express Delivery, a same-day service that delivers directly from your store to your front door. Orders must be placed by 4 p.m. local time to ensure delivery. Your order's eligibility depends on local stock, item size, and driver availability. See if you can get Express Delivery when you set your local store in The Home Depot app or online. Qualifying items will show an Express Delivery tag in your cart and during checkout (excludes bulk orders, aerosols, and custom mixed paint). Express Delivery orders may be subject to additional delivery charges.
What should I bring to personalize my dorm?
We've got your dorm essentials. Use storage containers or moving boxes to transport your belongings, and be ready with cleaning supplies and disinfecting wipes. Bring a tub of spackle to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang string lights and wall art. Make the room your own with area rugs and wall decals. Extension cords and power strips let you place lamps, microwaves, and mini fridges where you need them. If you didn't get a new bookbag yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head to college with useful products from your local Home Depot.
How can I prep my home for scorching summer temps?
Be confident your home is equipped for summer temps by replacing faulty components of your hardscaping and home. Check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. If water gets in the crevices, you might be dealing with damage. On the exterior of your home, examine shingles or metal roofing for damage that could let water come in. Keep gutters functional and clear to prevent overflow from entering your home when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be swapped out if they're badly weathered.
Do you have specialty moving boxes?
Make storage or moving easier by picking up an assortment of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you want, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion any and all items with moving blankets and bubble cushion to ensure your belongings make it safely. Remember to check out our moving truck rentals if you need those, too.
Why should I get a generator?
Enjoy electricity in your home even after severe storms and wind take it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are cleaner and quieter than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making more noise when they create more power. When shopping for generators, keep in mind that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. For safety purposes, always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors.
Do you have wired or wireless doorbell cameras?
Enjoy privacy, peace of mind, and safety with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a window when you can see animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you speak to whoever is at the door via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off potential porch pirates. Several cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you flexible accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as it suits you.
When is the September Home Depot Kids Workshop?
Head to the Kids Workshop on 9/5/2026, from 9–noon or while supplies last. It's time to put together a school bus organizer! Your little builder can assemble their very own organizer for markers and colored pencils.
