What home repairs should I make before summer storms hit?
Be certain your home is ready for summertime temps by repairing faulty parts of your hardscaping and home. On the exterior of your home, examine roof shingles or metal roofs for rust or damage that can let water in. Keep gutters fully functional to prevent excess water from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Chimney caps and vinyl siding should be swapped out if they're in poor condition. Also, check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. If moisture gets in the cracks, you could be looking at a problem.
What's your selection of moving boxes like?
Make your move easier by picking up a variety of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you've been searching for, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Remember to check out our rental moving trucks if you need those as well.
Is it good to have a generator at home?
Enjoy power in your home even after severe storms take it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making more noise when they create more power. When searching for generators, keep in mind that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. For safety purposes, always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors.
Why should I get a doorbell camera?
Enjoy peace of mind, privacy, and safety with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a window or peephole when you can see animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you speak to whoever is at the door via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off would-be porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Several cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed.
What's this month's project for the free Kids Workshop?
Head to our Kids Workshop from 9 a.m. to noon on July 4th. Give your children a taste of the joy of building with this cool pint-sized toy go-kart. Building this small wooden toy with wheels is a great way to hone listening abilities, fine motor skills, and creativity. Team up with your little ones to make this quick craft while supplies last. The best part is vrooming around your go-kart, so leave some time to explore your own track!
