Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

How long is The Home Depot Memorial Day Sale?

Get ready to save when you shop The Home Depot Memorial Day Sale. We've got the major purchases you want to save on: grills, patio furniture, outdoor power equipment, appliances, and more. Some categories have select items up to 40%, while others offer up to 20% off. It's easy to snag unbelievable deals that run from May 14th to May 27th in person at your local store or with our mobile app.

What do I do to prepare my home for flip-flopping spring temps?

Be confident your home is set for spring temperature swings by repairing or replacing faulty components of your hardscaping and home. If water gets inside the crevices, you could be in for a headache. Check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces. On the outside of your home, inspect metal roofing or shingles for rust or damage that may let water in. Keep gutters clear of debris to prevent water overflow from seeping beneath your shingles. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be changed out if they're badly weathered.

Do you carry small moving boxes?

Make moving or storage easier by picking up a variety of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you're looking for, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Remember to check out our rental moving trucks if you need those, too.

Is it good to have a generator at home?

Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with hurricanes, tornados, blizzards, severe thunderstorms, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity after the elements take it out. When browsing generators for sale, remember that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. Always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.

Why should I get a doorbell camera?

Enjoy privacy, safety, and peace of mind with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a nearby window when you can view animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you chat remotely via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off wannabe porch pirates. Most cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as needed.

What will the next free Kids Workshop be?

Don't miss our Kids Workshop on June 6th, from 9–12 noon or while supplies last. It's time to assemble a goalie game! Your little builder can put together their very own soccer craft — like the tabletop version but kid-sized. Remember to leave some time to play a few rounds of DIY soccer!
