What should I bring when moving into my college dorm?

We have all your dorm essentials. Utilize our moving boxes or storage containers to transport your belongings, and be ready with disinfecting wipes and cleaning supplies. Make your room your own with wall decals and area rugs. Bring a tub of spackling to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang wall art and string lights. Extension cords and power strips let you place table lamps, microwaves, and mini refrigerators where you need them. If you didn't get a new backpack yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head back to college with helpful products from your Mill Basin Home Depot.

What home repairs should I make before summer storms hit?

Make certain your home is equipped for summer temps by replacing faulty components of your hardscaping. Check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage. If moisture gets inside the crevices, you might be looking at trouble. On the exterior of your home, inspect shingles or metal roofing for damage or rust that may let water leak inside. Keep gutters clear of debris to prevent excess water from seeping beneath your shingles when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be changed out if they're badly weathered.

What types of moving boxes do you have?

Pick up an assortment of moving boxes to make storage and moving easier. We've got the sizes you're looking for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Look into our moving truck rentals, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.

Do I need a generator?

Restore electricity in your home even after severe weather takes it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making more noise when they create more power. When searching for generators, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. Always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.

Do you have doorbell cameras?

Enjoy peace of mind, safety, and privacy with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a window or peephole when you can see animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off potential porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Many cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as needed.

When is the free Kids Workshop this month?

      Small for a Home Depot
Smaller than the average Home Depot. The aisle employees are usually friendly. The cashiers are slow, so use self checkout when you can. If the website says an item is in stock, good luck with that- and if it's electrical or plumbing, double good luck. Avoid the paint department unless you want a surprise color later. And expect to be bombarded by day workers in the parking lot. At least they say "thank you" at the self checkout.

This is the convenience store of Home Depots
Only go here as a last resort. The experience of shopping here is abysmal. The employees look overworked, tired and disinterested so good luck finding one to help you. Low stock on everything you are there to buy so just hope you're the first come and first served.

Good, no parking issue. Staff needs more training
I visited this store to get a microwave oven fuse as suggested by home depot website. I requested one employee about the location of the item, he simply said we don’t sell part here, order online and left without listening further. Then I requested another lady employee, she was nice. She asked me to visit specific aisle where I found the item easily. I drove for that item too much and 1st employee’s behavior was disappointing however 2nd employee was nice and helpful.

              Parking
I have no problems with HD except there should be more handicap parking spaces and when approaching and leaving the parking lot is not good. The opening is uneven and the curb hits the bottom of the car.

                    Poor Customer Service
I experienced one of the most unprofessional and discriminatory interactions I have ever encountered at a Home Depot location. I was next in the return line when a young cashier looked directly at me, ignored me, and instead brought another person to her register who was not waiting in line. When I pointed out that I was next, she began yelling at me aggressively in front of other customers. Her behavior toward me was hostile and humiliating, and completely different from the way she treated the person she chose to serve. This felt discriminatory and unacceptable in every way. No customer should be subjected to yelling, disrespect, or biased treatment.
