What home repairs should I make before spring storms hit?
Make certain your home is set for spring temperature changes by repairing or replacing faulty parts of your hardscaping and home. On the outside of your house, inspect roof shingles or metal roofing for damage that can let water leak inside. Keep gutters clear and functional to prevent ice dams if you're still prone to winter storms. Chimney caps and vinyl siding should be swapped out if they're badly weathered. Also, check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. If moisture freezes in the cracks, you could be looking at trouble.
What kinds of moving boxes do you have?
Pick up an assortment of moving boxes to make your move easier. We've got the sizes you've been looking for, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Look into our rental moving trucks, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.
Should I get a portable generator or an inverter generator?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with tornados or severe thunderstorms, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity when the elements take it out. When searching for generators for sale, remember that inverter generators are pricier than portable generators, but they're also quieter and cleaner. For safety purposes, always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors.
Why should I get a doorbell camera?
Enjoy peace of mind, privacy, and safety with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. No more peeking through a peephole when you can view animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you speak to whoever is at the door via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off would-be porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Several cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as it suits you.
