How do I cut down on window draftiness?
As the years pass, windows settle and may not fit as snugly as they did before. Check if they're drafty by bringing stick of incense to the window. If you can see the smoke swirl around the window, that shows you where cold air is getting in through tiny gaps. Fill obvious spaces around windows with caulk. If your windows aren't snug in the frames anymore, use foam tape, weather stripping, or even a window insulation kit with sealing film to keep out cold air. Replace the windows as soon as possible.

What are good wintertime DIY projects?
When the temps drop outside, it's challenging to work out in the elements. However, it may be an excellent time to clean up your home instead. Some time organizing the basement or garage will pay off when the weather warms. You won't have to replace lost tools because you can find what you've got. Polish up the tools, clean the rest of the house with cleaning supplies, and you'll be ready when spring has sprung.

How can chainsaws help with winter and spring yard cleanup?
If you've got scrap wood and pallets sitting unused in a corner, cut them up with a chainsaw in the springtime so you can store or dispose of them properly. Spring is a good time to organize the firewood pile and trim tree branches too. Before firing up your Makita chainsaw, ensure that the chain isn't rusted or dull and that it's been oiled. Then, while wearing the proper safety gear, use the chainsaw to cut the wood. Make evenly sized pieces for effective storage.

Does my local Home Depot still offer Kids Workshops?
Yes, the Bannister Mall store does offer in-person Kids Workshops. These in-store events are free and take place every first Saturday of the month between 9am and noon. Registration for workshops is now available online. Keep little doers engaged with a new kit pack for each event. Included in the kits are all necessary craft materials, as well as instructions, stickers, an apron pin, a certificate of achievement, and a Discovery Education extension activity. Paint and all other required tools are provided at the event. Customers who prefer not to participate in the in-person event can pick up their free kit in-store or order online at our Kids Projects Activities page to have it shipped to their home. Call us or visit our customer service counter to check availability.

How do I check my Home Depot gift card balance?
Home Depot gift cards are an excellent present for the holidays, housewarming parties, and birthdays. DIYers know these gift cards are fun to give and to receive. Purchase them online at homedepot.com or in our stores. If you're a recipient, you can visit the Bannister Mall Home Depot and ask a cashier to check the balance for you or check your gift card balance online. Redeem our gift cards for online or in-store shopping, all with no additional fees.

Amazing service
I called to see if a product was available and Mary spoke to me said was and would hold on to it for me. When I got there she was amazing and very polite. When I got my item there was a little note on it thought was very sweet.

    Friendly helpful store
Though prices may run a tad higher, you can't beat the helpful employees at this store. It's also well stocked and cleaner than most.

                  Amazing Customer Service
Had to stop in for a few items and was not only greeted warmly, but was helped by a lovely gentleman named Oliver. Oliver insisted on providing a motorized cart to help me get around the store better (I had a broken ankle at the time of my visit) and also took the time to be kind, attentive, and sincere. He directed me toward the products I was shopping for and remained helpful throughout my experience. He deserves a raise!
