You can return the tools early if you finish your project ahead of schedule, but on time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Yes, power saw rentals generally come with blades, but we do recommend that you purchase your own. You'll likely not get a sharp blade when you rent, as most people won't leave one on there when they return it. However, you might get lucky and have a sharpened blade on a tile saw, for instance. As there's no guarantee, it's better to buy a suitable blade, just in case you need it.

Yes, please fill up the truck before you return it. Note the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. If you don't, you have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck. Some tools and all large equipment requires ID verification via CLEAR.

Depending on your location, you can get large equipment delivered straight to your job site for an affordable rate — whether that's at your home or out in the field. We'll need at least 24 hours' notice so we can adequately prep your rental delivery for you, and you'll need to rent it for a full day. Think of your rented large equipment as any other vehicle: Make sure it's parked legally and that you obey traffic laws. Read the operator's manual so you're using it correctly to avoid damaging the equipment or injuring yourself. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are. If you cancel within 12 hours of your scheduled delivery, you'll pay a cancellation fee. Extend your rental period if you need extra time so you won't get hit with a late fee.
