You can rent a tool for four hours or more. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY projects may only require a short rental period, and bigger jobs aren't a problem either. You've got options to rent tools by the day, month, or week, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.

You can return the tools early if you finish your project ahead of schedule, but on time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off built-up dirt from the tool as well. If you need them longer, call the rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.

Yes, power saw rentals generally come with blades, but we do recommend that you buy your own. Your rental likely won't come with a new blade. However, you might get lucky and receive an excellent blade on the saw. As there's no guarantee, it's better to purchase a suitable blade, just in case you need it.

Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Note the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. If you don't, you have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck. Some tools and large equipment also require ID verification via CLEAR.

Depending on your location, you can get large equipment delivered straight to the job site for an affordable rate — whether that's at your home or out in the field. We'll need at least 24 hours' notice so we can adequately prep your rental delivery for you, and you'll need to rent it for a full day. Treat your rented large equipment as any other vehicle: Make sure it's parked legally and that you obey traffic laws. Read the operator's manual so you're using it correctly to avoid damaging the equipment or injuring yourself. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are, as cancelling within 12 hours of delivery means you'll incur a cancellation fee. Extend your rental period if you need extra time so you won't get hit with a late fee.
