Get ahead of summer heat with a/c rentals. Let us help keep your workspace comfortable and cool so you can get more done. We carry generators to run air conditioner rentals, fans, and all your large power tools.

Tame the Greenery and Lawn
Lighten the load with outdoor power equipment rentals. Neaten the yard with a lawn mower rental and the sidewalks and driveway with a pressure washer. Your outdoor oasis will be looking fresh before you know it.

Load 'N Go Trucks
If you're looking to rent a large tool but don't have a way to get it home, let us help with that, too. Check out our Load 'N Go rental vehicles and rent a truck. Don't take up space in the driveway with an old truck for times you need to move something. How do I rent a truck or tool?

Stop by your local Rental Center to see which tools or trucks you can rent. If you'd like confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a tool or truck. You may also read our tool rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is available at your local store. For more information on renting tools, read these Tool Rental FAQs, including terms and conditions for the equipment.

Can I rent a tool by the hour?

Tool rentals start at four hour time slots. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small home improvement projects may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and long-term jobs aren't a problem either. You've got options to rent tools by the week, day, or month, too. If you need it longer than what you signed up for, call your Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.

When do I bring the tools back?

You can return the tools early if you finish your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need the tools longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.

Can I choose how long to rent a truck?

Rent a pickup truck, van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on how long your project is. Don't forget to factor in the drive between the job site and the store, as you'll need to return it to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the contract before selecting a truck.

Should I refill the rental truck before I bring it back?

Yes, please fuel up the truck before you return it. Make a note of the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and fill it with enough gas to match that same level. If you don't, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?

No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
