I ordered online to pick up. It was ready super fast. I also needed a 10' copper pipe cut and that was done in a matter of minutes. Both employees were so nice and so friendly. I left smiling.

I've been building a solar power system in my house. I don't really know what I am doing. I've watched many YouTube videos. I also got a LOT of help and advice from Kim and Darryl in electrical. With their help, I was able to complete all the work inside the house. It is all working fine. I did it without electrocuting myself, and without burning down the house. Kim and Darryl are great!

I buy merchandise every week and am always helped by the sales associates.

I have never had so much interaction with the associates everyone was very helpful and friendly

I have purchased products here for years. The staff is extremely helpful and awesome in all of their experience and knowledge in any & all departments I have routinely sought help in.This includes lumber, plumbing, appliances, hardware, doors, tools, paint, lighting, and in every day household items, as well as my favorite area: landscaping & gardening!

I always the most wonderful experience at Home Depot, and I absolutely have to shout out one employee who makes my visit extra special—PEG SNOW. From the moment she sees me walk in, her bright smile and friendly demeanor make me feel so welcome. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely enjoys helping others, and Peg exemplified that in every interaction. Whether I needed assistance finding a specific tool or had a quick question about a project, she was there with a wealth of knowledge and a willingness to help. It’s clear she’s not just doing a job; she truly cares about making customers feel valued. Her positive attitude is contagious, and it's employees like her that keep me coming back to Home Depot. Worst Home Depot I've been in across the country. Have shopped here several times and seen/heard some of the most vile conversations between staff, seen some of the worst dressed and unenthusiastic employees ever. Terrible customer service. Just horrible.

No matter what wide variety of small things I need, I can always find them here - mostly with the help of the floor assistants, whom I depend on always

There was no attempted made to help me, in the garden center, as a visibly handicap shopper. This is a deficit that will only get worse with time due to the aging of the population. Home Depot should do better.

I like the people at Home Depot in Ellsworth very much, but management needs to take a look at their policy on cutting a piece of oak from a 16 foot length of oak with a dull handsaw. Yup, no chop saw could be used. (I thought perhaps a hidden camera was in place to see how customers would react to this, but no such luck, I was told, that's the rule.) So with saws that had seen better days from grating away on a metal 6 foot table, I cut through the rail and of course with no help, the remnant had no where to go but to kickback off of the too short table. Dangerous? Absolutely. Stupid rule by management? Absolutely. Has management ever cut an oak rail with a dull saw? Probably not. Hope someone listens.

2 separate trips for 2 truck loads of pressure treated lumber. Not 1 single employee asked if I would like help loading the lumber in my cart or in my truck. This store definitely needs some refresher training for customer service.

Some of the older men are very helpful but most of the others scurry away when they see you need help. Like phantoms hiding and disappearing behind things. The girls try harder to help and use their phones to find stuff. They are always busy and still stop go help.

I spent over two hours yesterday with one employee, Nicholas Hayden (Ellsworth ME), who successfully navigated a very long and demanding materials list for a bathroom addition….plumbing, electrical, lumber, wall and floor tiling. Most of my list was specified in detail but a substantial portion was not . Mr. Hayden patiently me through options and provided valuable advice only a seasoned “can-do” employee could provide. I am enormously positively impressed and I hipe you can tell.

Mr.Grant in windows and doors section provided the best customer service I have ever had at home depot. Thank him again for me.

I was trying to find a way to give my pantry shelves more strength, I was asked questions. I had pictures of the pantry to show what I was talking about. I was given several options that would work. Each option cost a different amount. I was given very good advise which I took. It was the better priced option which was very important. And I was shown how it would work with actual cut lumber pieces. That really made me feel good about making that option my choice!

Very nice store, the people working in the store are always super kind especially a few of the ladies their names slip me right now but every time I'm in the store I always run into them and they're super cool, very friendly and very helpful..I appreciate their kindness

But the card readers make me put the card in 3-4 times before it works. And having to explain it to the cashier every time gets tiring as we shop at HD at least three times a month. It’s HD fault for not replacing the card readers. The cashier was familiar with the problem and said it happens a lot to many people.

Staff in this store seem to know where to find what I need and often suggests alternative materials better suited to my projects.

I hadnt sought employee assistance, but someone approached me in an aisle & asked if she could help. This happens frequently & is quite useful. The employee helped find additional numbers of an item when I thought there were not enough.

Friendly and efficient are not usually words that come to mind when shopping at big box stores, but every interaction I’ve had at this location has been pleasant and information and most importantly helpful. Everyone here from the guy cutting plywood to the gals in garden have been more than happy to help me and keep me informed. Very glad to have this just 30 minutes away.

Good quality tools. Friendly service, where you always get greeted with a smile. The store is always clean.

I was shopping for a bathtub and wall unit. I couldn’t figure out what it was I needed and then Steph walked over and offered to help. This woman is a fountain of knowledge! She made my huge bathroom project So much easier! I would have spent many hours in the store had it not been for that woman. She even climbed up on a ladder to point out a SKU number that I needed. The price online was contradicting the price on the shelf and she walked me over to the service desk to make sure that everything rang up at the correct price. Steph is great at her job and I will sell out her help for any more of my home projects! Thank you so much!

I shop regularly at Home Depot in western Maine and New Hampshire but recently started using Ellsworth Maine’s Home Depot in eastern Maine. Better people and cleaner store than North Conway, NH. or Windham, ME

It used to aggravate me that I often couldn’t get help. Recently staff seem to have become much more attentive, helpful and friendly

they are always so nice and help.

I've shopped at the Ellsworth Home Depot for 15 years. Most times, I'd say about 90% of the time, when I ask an employee for assistance I'm treated well and get just the help I need. And a great deal of the time, the employees are friendly and cheerful - they seem happy to help. I'm really happy that Ellsworth has HOme Depot as one of it's two big box stores. I love our Ellsworth Home Depot.

I would like to comment about a particular individual who was working in the plumbing dept. when I needed help on a technical plumbing matter. Serena was her name and she not only answered my questions but gave me some helpful advice in addition. I was so impressed with her knowledge about plumbing! As it turned out, on August 19, 2024, I returned to Home Depot to buy some lumber that included a 1X5X12 board. As I left the store, it began to rain. I had clearly not thought ahead as to how I was going to transport this lumber, especially the 12' board, in my Toyota Venza. There I was in the parking lot in the rain and compromised by a bad back, trying to tie the 12" board to the roof rack of the car when Serena appeared. It was clear that she was finished with her shift and heading home. She saw my plight and got out of her car and came over to offer her help. She then proceeded to help me secure the lumber to my roof rack using some material that she had in her car. If I could, I would submit Serena's name as a candidate for sainthood! Home Depot is fortunate to have someone like Serena in their employ! Thank you, Serena! Bruce
