Take on any new home improvement project with the right tools for the job, even if you don't have them on hand. Rent power tools, use them, and take them back when you're done. Complete your project without cluttering up shed or garage storage with tools you only need every so often.
Tool Rental
Start your next DIY project with confidence and the right tools for the job. Let The Home Depot Fergus Falls Tool Rental Center fill in the gaps in your toolbox with the tools you don't have on hand. Rent what you need and bring them back when the job is done. If those rental tools just went from wanted to needed, we have used tools available for purchase. Compared to the new items on our store shelves, they're discounted.
Leaf Blowers
Try renting a leaf blower to blow away leaves. Fall will be in full swing soon, so have a leaf blower ready. It's much easier than raking. It's also great to use on hardscaping surfaces, concrete sidewalks, and driveways. Clear your yard by using handheld, backpack, or walk-behind leaf blowers.
Insulation
If you need to prep your home for cooler weather, consider upgrading your insulation. Rent specialized equipment for insulation to install it efficiently. Choose from a fiberglass blower or a cellulose insulation blower, and get those nooks and crannies insulated with ease. Installing insulation helps keep your home warmer during cold weather and cooler when it's hot outside, all while tempering your heating and cooling bills.
Heaters
A comfortable room makes everything easier, so check out our heater rentals. Portable heaters keep barns, outdoor events, or workspaces warm. They're safer than torch patio heaters because they have no open flame, and they also blow the hot air for more coverage. We carry gas, propane, and electric heaters in a range of sizes. Pair this with good outdoor lighting, and you can extend work or play later into the evening hours.

How do I know if the tool I want is available?
Stop by your local Rental Center to see what tools you can rent. You can also call first to ask about a tool, or look at our tool rental page to see if it's offered at your favorite store. If it's not, check another nearby store or reach out to our Rental Center associates to locate where that tool may be available. For more on tool rentals, read these Tool Rental FAQs, including equipment terms and conditions.
Can I rent a tool for an hour?
You can rent a tool for four hours or longer. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small DIY projects may only require a rental for a few hours, and bigger jobs aren't a problem either. You have options to rent tools by the day, week, or month, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call the Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I need to return the tools?
You can return the tools early if you finish your project ahead of schedule, but on time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean any residual dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need it longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.
Do saw rentals come with saw blades?
Yes, power saw rentals generally come with blades, but we do recommend that you purchase your own. Your rental likely won't come with a new blade. However, you may luck out and have a sharpened one. Since there's no guarantee, it's better to buy a suitable blade, just in case you need it.
