I attempted to return some items from a very large commercial job completion and asked for a gift card . I have made several successful returns in the past 2-3 weeks after a 5 year long job but was denied for some reason today . Rafael laughed after I had made a comment that now I have to reload all the returns back in my truck . He said Awe you have to put it all back in your truck and laughed . Very Poor Customer Service by RAFAEL and would not recommend his lack of customer service skills and lack thereof. I’ve shopped here for 25 years and never had an idiot like this speak to me like he did Terrible Rep

I own a large property w. two homes, an equipment house and a laundry house. I am grateful for the Goleta Home Depot which is not too far away, and upon my arrival, I quickly find what I need. If I need assistance of any kind, someone is always there to help!

I asked for help from about five employees that night. They were all kind and helpful. It was refreshing to see they were willing to help and knew what they were talking about.

I bought what I think will do out of the choices. No one offered to explain features of any of them. When I checked out, a nice young man helped me. I said I would need help getting it loaded in my car. He said "fine." Then disappeared, guess it was lunch break. Finally one of the other clerks (female) offered to help me and between the two of us we got it loaded into my car.

This store is the WORST! and its been this way for years. No staff, dirty, poorly stocked. It's literally like there is no manager present at this store. I only shop here when necessary, but with no local competition it's often the only option if I need something that day.

We suddenly found ourselves in need of a new washing machine. After intensive research, we found the brand we needed. I called around to four different locations and even thought about purchasing our new washer online. But the representative at Home Depot was such a NICE GUY, answering all of my questions. I applied for the Home Depot credit card and got an extra $100 off my purchase. It's great that Home Dept is so competitively priced. And I love it that Home Depot hires such great and helpful personnel.

I needed five separate items. I asked a female employee and BAM she told me the isle numbers and bin numbers with lightning speed. The women ROCK at Goleta Home Depot!!!

I've always had positive experiences with Goleta HD employees. Always friendly, always knowledgeable, always helpful. Especially in the garden area.

I had a complicated purchase (low stock, large item) and everyone was so very helpful. Special thanks to Joshua who helped me load the shed into my tiny SUV.

It took 3 months and 14 phone calls to get my refund due to : "IT issues"

I only purchased two items. It wasn’t until I made it home, 31 miles away, that I realized someone else had loosened the staple, snuck into the the package, and stole one of the parts, forcing me to use one of the parts I was going to replace. If you say, “It’s your fault. You should have examined it more carefully.” You’re right. If you say, “How did the world get so messed up?” I say, “Perhaps you should have examined it more carefully.”

Please ask the "hip and cool and groovy" new manager (or whoever is in charge of the music volume knob) to TURN IT DOWN. Dudes, just kill it. It's a store not an "experience" destination. I don't mean it's a bit loud...it's CRANKED. Get it together guys, turn it down...or even better OFF !!!!!

Absolutely the worst customer service ever. A simple order completely messed up, half of a two-piece toilet missing, and nobody takes responsibility. Our agency will never set foot in Home Depot again. HD was once again a complete waste of time, money, and manager could care less.

This store is disorganized, dirty and inexperienced staff (if any can be found). It has been this way for many years. It needs serious attention from upper management. Unfortunately, it is the only local option.

Had some returns some from the same day some fairly old but the guy helping me in Returns was amazing. Patient. Knew his stuff. Got it all done.

Gabe at customer service desk store 6623. Was outstanding! He was extremely helpful and went out of his way to load my fridge and other items in my car. He was extremely professional, patient, kind, and knowledgeable. He was alone with no help and his customer service was exceptional. Thank you Gabe for all you do! You haven’t gone unnoticed.

I am an elderly-disabled person and shop for other elderly-disabled folks. That being said, I visit the Goleta store, at least, four days per week. The associates are very helpful--especially Luis in the electrical department. Much time is spent in the Garden store which is very popular and oftimes, the plants that I seek are sold out, but overall everyone is doing an excellent job. Thanks for the opportunity to comment. The wrong item was placed in the locker where my order needed to be and I had to do in person shopping due to the lack of persons doing the online shopping.

Returns always go smooth

The store shelves are rarely fully stocked. Store needs new management.

Couldn’t find the “in stock” item and no one really cared if I found it. Wasted trip

I know that a common criticism of Home Depot is difficulty finding help at times, and I have experienced this as well. However, the website makes it extremely easy to research the products ahead of time and even note the exact location of items in the store. The customer service staff are very friendly and efficient with returns or resolving misc. issues. Prices are lower than pretty much anywhere (incl. buying online once you add shipping.)

I will be shopping at the local harware store in the future since Home Depot doesn’t bother to sort its specialy fasteners.

I bought a new refrigerator last week and unfortunately it did not fit properly, I called the store and spoke with Gloria Gladnick the appliance sales person and she arranged to have it picked up the next Monday. I went in later that day and purchased another refrigerator that could be delivered on Wednesday so Gloria then arranged to have them pick up the other fridge on Wednesday as well so that I would not have to be without a refrigerator any longer then was necessary . I believe she went above and beyond to help me out and would ask for her again in the future. Last year she also sold me a microwave that I am very happy with

I have had to shop at this store for the last 10 or 11 years. I had a horrendous experience for the first 6 years or so. It got so bad that I stopped shopping here and would drive to Oxnard or Lompoc to pick up the things that I needed that I could not easily obtain at the local lumber stores. I had delivery issues, stocking issues, customer service issues (had an employee get in my face physically), and a general lack of interest from the store or HD. That said, the last four or five years have seen vast improvements in all the deficits noted. It still is not perfect but this store performs on a par with the other HD stores I frequent. Helpful customer service is still hit or miss; however, the customer service is average and therefore greatly improved from previous years. I no longer despise going to this HD and for that I am grateful! Thank you Goleta HD for improving your store!

In the past, getting help or advice would be almost non existent. This visit (4/10/25) was a real pleasant surprise. The employees were VERY helpful in finding what we needed, and even offered some advice. It was great!

You've got to get a better way to install & setup kitchen appliances. Your delivery people on drop off and take away old. Next time I'll go to an appliance store.
