I don't know what happened but this store has finally started to put their customers first. My last two visits were exemplified by quick, professional service. Friendly employees who obviously cared about their work. Keep up the great work!

There was a time when shopping at Home Depot Goleta was a great experience. Good stock, good attitudes, and always someone nearby to help carry, or answer questions and find things faster. Nowadays, the store is in disarray, stocks are low, limited, or non existent, and almost everything we look for and can't find we are told is "available online" -Trouble is, if we go to the store is because we need it now, in real time! ALSO, More often than not, we walk away with items missing from our shopping lists after having wasted a lot of time looking for things in the crammed aisles or waiting for help. Employees are often new, or poorly trained, with low-wage attitudes, and definitely not proactive. Fortunately for HD, they still have a couple of veteran employees who take pride in their work and are quite knowledgeable which we fear they will soon be gone too, but otherwise not looking forward to going shopping to Home Depot anymore.

Thirty minutes to closing, I was directed to hammer drills, bits, rebar, 4"x"6"x8's, concrete fasteners, cinder blocks and assisted to loading all in thirty two minutes.

The store is cleaner than it used to be but it's under staffed and it shows. Months go by and I see the same empty boxes of fittings or tool hooks and wonder how you make money without inventory?

The Goleta store has consistently improved over the 8 years I've lived in the area. All phases of the operation are better to much better than when I first moved into the area. The store is borderline excellent.

I will not recommend this store is you have a project for your home. I have questions concerning our floor that I already paid. I called the for the past 2 days and no one answered, not only they put me in a long wait ( at least 45 minutes) , but also the line was cut off 4 times. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED

Overall, I have found this store to be far less organized and well-stocked as the store in Camarillo. But that was compensated by the helpfulness of the associate Paul, who guided us expertly with our purchasing decisions.

The store was great, no one yelled at me about my small (and super cute and friendly) dog. The greeter was very helpful - I dropped my sunglasses and as he handed them back to me, he asked what I was looking for. When I told him, he gave me the EXACT location in the store. Nancy was very helpful and friendly as I was checking out. Kudos to the store manager for having such an amazing staff!

Restocking not happening fast enough. Often didn't find items. Even when website claims they are on stock. Last 3 times I came out of the store with only half of the things I was looking for. Service no help. Too few. Or don't know.

The associates at the return desk are particularly knowledgable and most friendly. During my bath remodel I have had to return items twice. Each time the service was quick, efficient and friendly. Yesterday, Rachael went out of her way to help me and a customer on the phone simultaneously. She manages both excellently.

I just came back from the store and went to plug in my New (at least that's what I thought) Shark Pet Hand Vac. As I removed the vacuum and the attachments from the box I found that it had been used. The brush attachment had, what looked like, carpet threads wrapped around it. As I pulled the waste basket off I found dust everywhere. This is unacceptable.

As often happens to us, the most common products (in this case standard door/window trim molding) were not available. But even worse, we have found the customer service at this store to be consistently bad. It is hard to find anyone to help. If you find someone it's not their area and say they can't help you. If the app shows products in stock, employees will tell you that it is wrong most of the time (then why have the app?) If the department associate is helping someone else, they won't even acknowledge you are there and that they will be happy to help you next. We occasionally shop at the Home Depot in Lompoc, CA and talk about outstanding customer service. They make you feel like they are glad you are shopping in their store, WANT to help you and enjoy their job... not true at this one.

Friendy service, accomadating; very helpful in getting me what I wanted the day I was there. I bought a Home Lite weed trimmer which was the display mode at 10% off. I needed it before the new shipment arrived. I was happy with the price and quality of appliance compared to others I had reviewed.

Well stocked Home Depot. Associates are friendly and there's plenty of parking out front! Every time we visit, we always find what we need!

We visit this location frequently because it is just 5 minutes away from our home. Unfortunately after our most recent visit, I will be travelling further in order to avoid shopping here ever again. We needed help in multiple departments with a home improvement project. Starting out in the flooring section, we had difficulty finding any available employee, and waited for a long time after an employee paged for help. Finally, Scott arrived to "help". He was brusque and unhelpful when we indicated we were unsure how to choose between different varieties of artificial grass. He recommended we "just buy the most expensive one; it must be the best". We asked if he could operate the machine that rotates the large rolls of flooring, but he said he wasn't sure what they had in stock. I pointed out to him the "currently in stock" sign on each of the artificial grass options that we were looking at and he continued to resist bringing them down. He never did. He was opening condescending and acted as if there was nothing he wouldn't rather be doing at the moment. Later we needed assistance in the garden department and again had difficulty finding help. The cashier there said that she didn't normally work in garden and couldn't answer questions. We decided to wait in the very long customer service line to ask for help. To our dismay, they paged Scott to come help us again. And again he brushed off our questions and was extremely unhelpful. He literally started walking away from us mid-sentence. We tried calling him back, saying that we had more questions, to which he rudely replied, "What, do you need me to walk you to where the bougainvillea is?". We tried our best to purchase our items without assistance but found very little product for what we needed. Bags of mulch had been torn open and strewed across the ground, requiring us to heft huge bags in order to find an intact one. We ended up buying all our plants at a local nursery. They, fortunately, were eager to help and had plenty of available product.

Shelves are a complete mess. Missing items even though websites says they are in stock. Misplaced items, 6 inch items mixed up with 4 inch ones, 25 feet items placed in 8 feet ones, and so on. 90% of staff are missing or literally hiding from customers.Only 1 in 10 employees are actually doing their job. I can spend 1 hour in the store only because I need to find a motivated person to help which can be impossible at times.

This store is always neat and clean. And, above all else the employees at this specific store are always friendly and helpful. It is rare that I find someone too busy to lend me a hand. Thank You.

Really bad customers service at this store. I ordered a vanity cabinet almost 2 months and Im still waiting for it. It took 3 times to oredered because they keep making mistake ordering the right item.

No help you have to track people down . Almost every lsle has stuff stacked up and not put away. Last time i was there a forklift operator jumped off the forklift and it started rolling backwards beeping ? Also self check is now all there will be. So now we get to do their jobs. Less service??? Bad idea! And will we see any savings ? Less employees? I doubt it. I had two cart loaded and they wanted me to check it ??$ 1700.00 worth and i have to check it? This is so lame!!

I think that the staff is very knowledgeable and courteous and I like that they have recycling stations for used batteries and for mercury-containing light bulbs (most stores don’t care about the environment). Also, they have Tesla staff at this store helping to educate customers about environmentally-friendly products carried by Home Depot. I think it’s great! Robert Santa Barbara, CA

Very nice people, know were things located.

Wow this "big box" store has upped its game in customer service - two employees went out of their way to find a relatively inexpensive item that was out of stock on its regular shelf - took about 15 minutes but was ultimately successful, saving me time and online searching and waiting for delivery. I rarely write reviews, but think this is above and beyond the normal expectation, and a big improvement from several years ago.

All the times I've been to Home Depot, this was the best! We shopped for our $70 savings on an Air Compressor, then got $15 back too, best part is the young man who helped us land the purchase in the Tools Dept. He directed us to the model we wanted, tucked away under the shelves, and then told us the nails and staples best for our purchase with advise we needed and didn't know to ask for! Top it off, the cashier was a honey....full of non-invasive "happy", she confirmed what a great deal we were getting and told us how smart we were to find this special tool...Wow, thank you for winning with us today!

Used self checkout and it was great.
