Tool Rental
Start your home improvement project with confidence and the right tools for the job. Let The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Grand Island expand your tool belt with the items you don't have on hand. Rent the tools you need and return them when the job is complete. If those rental tools just went from wanted to needed, we have used tools available for purchase. The retired rental tools are discounted compared to the new items in our aisles.
Leaf Blowers
Try renting a leaf blower to maintain your lawn. Fall will be here in no time, so have a leaf blower ready to go. It's much easier than raking them into piles. It's also easy to use on concrete sidewalks, driveways, and hardscaping surfaces. Clear your yard by using backpack, walk-behind, or handheld leaf blowers.
Air Compressors
When renting pneumatic tools such as nail guns, you'll need an air compressor to provide the power. Renting an air compressor means you save space in your garage while getting the right tools for the job. Choose from an electric or gas air compressor in a size that suits your project.
Heaters
A comfortable room makes everything easier, so be sure to browse our heater rentals. Portable heaters keep workspaces, outdoor events, or barns warm. They're safer than torch patio heaters because they don't have an open flame, and they also blow hot air for greater coverage. We carry electric, propane, and gas heaters in different sizes. Pair this with some nice outdoor lighting, and you can extend work or play later into the evening hours.

How can I rent a tool?
Stop by your local Rental Center to see what tools you can rent. You can also call first to ask about a tool, or look at our tool rental page to see if it's offered at your favorite store. If it's not, check another nearby store or call our Rental Center associates to locate where that tool might be available. For more on tool rentals, read these Tool Rental FAQs, including equipment terms and conditions.
Can I rent a tool by the hour?
You can rent a tool for four hours or longer. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small DIY projects may only require a short rental period, and bigger jobs aren't a problem either. You have options to rent tools by the day, week, or month, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call the Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.
When can I bring the tools back?
You can return the tools early if you finish your project ahead of schedule, but on time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off any built-up dirt from the tool as well. If you need them longer, call the rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
Do saw rentals come with saw blades?
Yes, power saw rentals generally come with blades, but we do recommend that you buy your own. You'll likely not get a sharp blade when you rent, as most people won't leave one on there when they return it. However, you might get lucky and have a sharpened blade on the saw. Since there's no guarantee, it's better to purchase a suitable blade, just in case you need it.
