As part of our normal practice, our stores and other facilities are cleaned and sanitized daily. Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we've increased the frequency of cleaning and general hygiene maintenance in stores and other locations. We've also stepped up our efforts to disinfect high-traffic and high-touch areas like self-checkout, door handles, and bathrooms, as well as posting signage about handwashing and other preventative actions.
We're promoting social distancing in our stores and distribution centers, which includes stores limiting the number of customers inside at any given time. In addition to training our associates on social distancing, we've placed distancing markers at some of our checkout counters and are making overhead announcements on our store PA systems asking customers to practice social distancing.

I recently purchased a new GE washer/dryer to be installed on 2/16. The website did not tell me that I needed to purchase any extra parts for installation other than a dryer power cord. My husband even called the store to make sure we had everything needed. We were assured by customer service that our order included all parts needed, delivery and installation. When they arrived we were then told we had to order stainless steel hoses for the washer (which was not on the website or told to us by the store when we called) so we ordered them but now have to wait 2 more weeks for them to come back and installed them. Don't trust employees or customer service who do not know what they are talking about!!! I also suggest not buying online!!! Their website does not make it clear ALL additional parts you need to order and as I said the store assured me all I needed was a dryer cord which I had ordered!

I purchased a refrigerator and opted to have it delivered because i am very busy and didn't have time to get to a home depot to pick one up myself if i could avoid it. the refrigerator arrived on the day it was scheduled and was left on the front porch by the delivery service. when i arrived home, i brought the refrigerator in and unboxed it. i immediately noticed several areas of damage including dents on both sides, and a gouge in the metal ice box door in one corner exposing a jagged edge of metal. I called one of the numbers on the emailed delivery confirmation, but they couldn't find my order info with my phone number, name, order number, or address. They asked me to call another number, but when i called that number, it was to a hearing aid company. I called the regular customer service number on Home Depot's website, and was connected with someone named, Obu. Obu told me that If I didn't want to keep the refrigerator, I would have to take it back to Home Depot to get a refund, then order another to have it delivered. I explained to Obu that this was a HUGE inconvenience to someone that had paid extra for delivery so he wouldn't have to physically go to Home Depot and for damage that I wasn't responsible. At that point the phone went dead. I can't be sure if I was hung up on, or something else happened. In any case, the next day, I went to the Home Depot in Hickory, Store#3628 with the refrigerator. I requested to speak with a manager and was met by Store Manager Joe Munao. Mr Munao patiently listened to my experience up to that point, and expressed his concern at what I had dealt with leading up to arriving at his store. Mr Munao offered a solution in a slightly larger refrigerator that was in store and I could take with me that same day. I was refunded for my initial purchase, and paid for the new refrigerator at a very agreeable discounted price. Mr Munao and another employee helped me load the new refrigerator, and apologized on behalf of Home Depot for the negative experience I had received. I left a satisfied customer although I still believe Home Depot needs to do some work on their customer service call centers, and figure out a better way to safely deliver products to customers
