Always able to find knowledgeable assistance and good quality products. Do have problems with internet ordering and slowness of website! Consequently Wish more items available in store..super great conversion of Kelly Moore paint colors into other brands and all paint matches @ all your stores! Been a customer for decades and will continue!

Purchased 7 bags to add between pavers. Sand was clean and did the job.

The employee do not like helping customers I got 2 broken toes. The lack of care for woman is outrageous ridiculous. This store don’t realize woman mothers wife girlfriend roommate etc is the reason men shop their. Our projects staying home woman keep Home Depot open

This store has the nicest and most helpful employees! Every time I go there I am greeted and asked if I need any help. They have always made the experience great!

I love this HD location. I am disgusted by the amount of new employees that stand around on their smart phones (NOT their hand held devices for store inter-actions) instead of engaging with customers. ALSO, PLEASE train your new and old employees to NOT allow another customer to interrupt an Ongoing conversation with a current customer! It has happened to me repeatedly within the last couple years I have frequented your stores. Train the new kid to politely tell the Interrupting dip(poop emoji) customer, "Ill be right with you, As soon as I am DONE WITH THIS Customer". This new generation is clueless on the definition of customer service. You do not need more employees, you just need better trained/mature employees. But mostly my experience is great here, as I said, I love this store, have had great inter-actions in the past and I will continue to go here. I know what I'm looking for and what I'm doing, so my interactions are usually more of a "where did you move THIS PRODUCT to, OR do you still carry, or HAVE THIS product etc.

I was in line to check out. I cant see past the first 3 registers and am short so cant see. I am stretching my neck to see if there are any open. 3 young guys in vest are laughing and standing around the desk at the entry. not one of them says anything to me or asks if I need a register, oh there is one over there etc.. Then I walk around the customers and then see 4or 5 registers open. Check myself out and leave. Lets just say the old people give customer service and the young people just want a paycheck for being there. ( of course there are exceptions, I just did not see any on this trip)

I basically took care of myself. I checked out through the garden with a kid who could have cared less. I have mobility issues and after she had checked me out without giving me a chance to give her either phone number then she tells me she can't take off the security clip. She was rude and bored and obviously didn't want to be there. Believe me I didn't either! I won't be ordering things online from now on!

Your $100 gift card would not work and customer service could not fix it and said to give it back to gifter. Then hevcould redeam it if he still has receipt.

I think the employees at this store go out of their to NOT assist you.

This review asked about The Home Depot as a whole. Therefore I am not talking about any products. Did I purchase? Which are many every week as a handyman/ journeyman carpenter. The personnel here are mostly great. Therefore, my experience shopping here is mostly great. The reason I don't mention the products is because I have had too many issues with modern products that I have not had issues with in the past and that is where the personnel are invaluable here. I rarely have any issue returning things of poor value and performance. I am grateful for the professional courteous and friendly service That I receive from the personnel here. I am not alone with this opinion. I have many, many good friends that are major contractors for both business, industrial and private and all We ask is you just keep hiring qualified personnel and stay away from checking boxes When hiring And promoting, that will never work, and we will see right through it. And we will bring our business elsewhere, period. We don't have the time for it and we have lost our patience regarding this of what I speak.

Bill the Plumber at the 1855 Hillsdale Ave, San Jose, CA HD #1009 went above and beyond to help me McGyver a solution for which there were no standard parts. I wanted to connect a 2" leaf blower output to a 4" dryer vent to clean out the vents without blowback. His knowledge of the various areas of Home Depot allowed him to find an adapter in the garden section that would suite my needs perfectly. Two big thumbs up for Bill helping me to McGyver a working solution!

My cousin and I were doing a small project and needed wood spacers. We didn’t have our tools with us but wanted to complete the project. We ran into a Home Depot associate - initially we were hesitant to ask him to make the 3.5” and 5” spacers for us, but the associate made us feel right at home … he knew exactly what we must get him and he executed the cuts in minutes!! This is really what makes him and Home Depot special!! Thanks so much. Happy New Year 2025!!

I like the extended hours, like to query staff about products and learn about materials and products.

Been shopping at this location for over 20’years. Recently it’s always been someone else’s department when o need help. Getting help here has been atrocious. Since the other Home Depot burnt down, I’m stuck with these lazy employees always pushing the buck now

I typically shop at the Hamilton (Campbell) store because it's closer to my house. However, Hillsdale is a nice change of pace. It's a larger store with, obviously, more inventory. Recent visit was highlighted by very good customer service (something I never expect at HD...)

Ordered shelves on-line. When we went to pick them up, they were damaged.

I bought different type of paints and enjoy the quaity and finished look.

Last minute job required parts and replacement fittings for tools. Home depot had it al!!

Because yes, they will put a returned broken item back on the shelf.

I bought the BOSA XT speed horse saw horse today! I was able to do this thanks to the great customer service of Matt F. In Lumber Section who promptly identified this item in the upper rafters & then bright them down to me to test them out. Likewise he pointed out a sale on the steel roller stand that I was looking for! I’ll definitely be telling my friends to see Matt in Lumber for all their wood & other building material purchases at the San Jose Hillsdale location!

I needed several pieces of lumber cut today. I asked for someone to help and Tim was sent to help out. He greeted me with a friendly smile, double checked the measurements of the cuts I needed and completed the job in a timely manner. He was also very courteous to other customers waiting in line for his help. All in all it was the best service I've ever had at any Home Depot.
