The Home Depot Rental Center at Hobbs

Take on any big DIY project, you might not have everything you need at home. Don't let that stop you when you can stop by The Home Depot Hobbs Tool Rental Center. Explore our rentals, ranging from small power tools to large equipment rentals. You'll be pleasantly surprised by what you can rent for a few hours, days, or weeks.

Tool Rental
Start your home improvement project with confidence and the right tools for the job. Let our Tool Rental Center in Hobbs expand your tool belt with the items you don't have. Rent the tools you need and return them when the job is finished. If those rental tools just went from wanted to needed, we have used tools available for purchase. The retired rental tools are discounted in comparison to the new items in our aisles.

Leaf Blowers
Try renting a leaf blower to keep up with your lawn. Fall will be here before you know it, so have a leaf blower at the ready. It's far less work than raking them into piles. It's also easy to use on driveways, concrete sidewalks, and hardscaping surfaces. Clear your yard by using walk-behind, handheld, or backpack leaf blowers.

Insulation
If you need to prep your home for cooler weather, consider upgrading your insulation. Rent specialized equipment for insulation to install it the right way. Choose from a fiberglass blower or a cellulose insulation blower, and get those nooks and crannies insulated with ease. Installing insulation helps to keep your home nice and cool in the summer and warm and cozy in the winter, all while tempering your energy bills.

Heaters
If you can't stand working or being outside in cooler temps, browse our heater rentals. Portable heaters keep outdoor events, barns, or workspaces warm. They're safer than torch patio heaters because they don't have an open flame, and they also blow the hot air for greater coverage. We carry electric, gas, and propane heaters in various sizes. Pair this with good outdoor lighting and a jacket, and you can extend work or play well into the night with the extra warmth.

Large Equipment Rentals
Handle massive projects with the right professional equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need to finish the job yourself. From the boom and scissor lifts to give you a boost to the mini excavators and mini skid steers for hauling materials, we've got an expansive variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore and see what we have in stock.

Although we are calling out popular tool and large equipment rentals, our rental center may not have everything on hand for your required time frame. If you've got a particular tool in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.

Whether you're searching for everyday tools like drills, power tools like tile saws, or large industry tools such as concrete buggies, we've got you covered. Let us help you complete your next project with the best tools for the job.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How can I rent a tool?

Stop by your local Rental Center to see what's available. You can also call first to inquire about a tool or piece of large equipment, or check out our tool rental page to see if it's available at your local store. If it's not, check another nearby store or reach out to our Rental Center associates to learn where that tool may be available. For additional info on tool rentals, read the Tool Rental FAQs, including equipment terms and conditions.

How long can I rent tools?

You can rent a tool for four hours or more. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small home improvement projects may only require a rental for a few hours, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the month, week, or day, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call the Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.

When do I need to return the tools?

You can return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off built-up dirt from the tool as well. If you need them longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.

Do saw rentals come with saw blades?

Yes, power saw rentals generally come with blades, but we do recommend that you buy your own. You'll likely not get a sharp blade when you rent, as most people won't leave one on there when they return it. However, you may luck out and receive an excellent blade on the saw. Since there's no guarantee, it's better to buy a suitable blade, just in case you need it.

How do I receive my large equipment rental?

Depending on your location, you may be able to get large equipment delivered straight to your job site for a reasonable cost — whether that's at your home or out in the field. We'll need at least 24 hours' notice so we can adequately prepare your rental delivery for you, and you'll need to rent it for a full day. In places where delivery isn't an option, speak to one of our Orange Aprons for the best way to get your large equipment.

How do I avoid penalties and extra fees on my large equipment rentals?

Think of your rented large equipment as any other vehicle: Make sure it's parked legally and that you obey traffic laws. Read the instructions so you're using it correctly to avoid damaging the equipment or injuring yourself. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are. If you cancel within 12 hours of your scheduled delivery, you'll pay a cancellation fee. Extend your rental period if you need extra time so you won't get hit with a late fee.
